MadWorld Not Planning Releases in Censor-Heavy Countries

PlatinumGames' MadWorld, the action-adventure Wii game from the studio composed of Resident Evil, Viewtiful Joe, God Hand and Okami veterans, is so violent that publisher Sega isn't optimistic about getting the game released in Japan.

Seems like this will be the way of the future. If only people would stop blaming their actions on video games, and if only parents would raise their friggin kids this wouldn't likely be an issue...

It has to do more with the control certain governments have. They think they know what is best for their people. The people should be able to make that choice, especially with entertainment.

Maybe they'll eventually do what Rockstar's doing with Manhunt 2 in the UK and slow-play things until no one's paying attention and stealthily release a censored version in those places a year or two down the line.

I'm not saying it's likely or that it's right, but it's a possibility.

That said, I'm actually somewhat curious as to why the land that gave the world The Fist of the Northstar is one of the more conservative countries when it comes to videogames.

There are work around on the Wii, unlike PS3 which first me to wait for MA because I got rid of my PS. God forbid and thing happen to my PS3 and son pawn me off un B/C version of the PS3 so I can't play all my PS 2 games any more

Well, half of the game is blood and red is one of the 3 colors in the game and in any of those censor heavy countries, the game will lose blood which is one third of the whole package.
