PS1 emmulator for Wii

Reading through blogs and articles last night I found a link to a Youtube video demostrating "WiiSx Rev_46", a PS1 emulator created for the Wii. While it does lags a bit, it does load Need for Speed 3: Hot Persuit, and the frame rate is good enough for playing. WiiSx created by EMU_KIDD is at a Pre-Beta stage, but this emmulator seems to be the real deal.

Playing Ps1 games on the wii seems about right. See, when I play Ps1 games on my Ps3, or even Ps2 games, on it and then go to play a Ps3 game my eyes need time to adjust to the incredible graphics bump I just took. When I play a nes game on the wii and then play a wii game I can jump right into the game since they're of equal quality.

Actually, in some instances I prefer the nes graphics to the wii's. Maybe nintendo should spend more time working on advancing their hardware and less time coming up with plastic add ons to gouge us with.

The PS2 and PS3 play all PSX games. Plus if your PSP has custom firmware you can also play any PSX game on it.

Funny so does MY computer....i played some XBox 360 "exclusive" game last year.

This is pretty cool...have any of you guys tried this???...I've yet to mod my Wii in any way.

Does it involve a flash update, or is there a less invasive way to do it?

In the homebrew scene is advancing like no other console before it (its already beyond what dreamcast could do, wich is a good thing) if you have a wii, you have literally access to ANY game from NES, SNES, N64 (most of the must-have anyways), PSX (same thing applies), GB, GBC, GBA, SEGA, etc etc. Wich is simply amazing.

that's actually pretty sad. and to think i would have bought the wii if there weren't massive shortages at the beginning. i was brainwashed by the hype and bought a ps3 as my second choice. its funny how things seem to work out!

why hating, I'm 30 and I love the Wii and the homebrew community,and am a fan not a fanboy, if it was a PS3 emu news you would be all over it, don't be haters...ok

do you know even the new pc's have problem loading roms from newer consoles eg: GC games with Dolphin...
but the Wii an inferior console as you PS3 fanboys call it is able to run almost any console emulator, and has more homebrew support than the PS3 and the 360, that shows a lot for the community, so give props where they're needed.

but these kind of communities are made up of ps3/xbox fans mostly and most of them aren't mature ( it's not about age ) enough to give props to their "rivals" .

well i tried to get a ps1 emulator working so i cna play a ps1 game that i can't find in stores which is final fantasy 7 because i wanted to find out what happens in the story after i beaten crisis core for psp

but i gave up because it is impossible i think i wil lwait years for it to be release on psn

or wait till im 18 in a couple of months and try ebay
