Nintendo Unveil Fourth Quarter Line-Up

Nintendo have today unveiled their fourth quarter release schedule for both NintendoDS and Wii, including all first- and third-party releases, for the UK and mainland Europe. Along with the highly-anticipated Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City which was dated earlier today, highlights include Wii Music, Disaster: Day of Crisis and Professor Layton and the Curious Village. Nah I sold mine too. It wasnt an issue. Stores had stacks of them and it just isnt worth the money. 600.00 for a game console with no games and too much focus on movies is not my thing. Thats why I like the Wii. Its focus is on games. Of course I am a little smarter than the first guy up there. I understand that its not Nintendo making 99% of those casual games so I dont blame Nintendo or trash them when Ubisoft announces the 30th petz game.

Someone here doesnt have a single clue what shovel ware really is. Very few of those games are actual shovelware. Many are just kid friendly titles. Some are casual games. Casual and kid friendly does not mean shovel ware.I wouldnt bother wasting my time to explain the difference though. You went this far through life being clueless why try to stop the trend.

See once again reality vs. perception. Reality is Wii/DS has many games that gamers want and perception is that it's full of girly stuff. So take your false logic and go into the PS3/360 section you really only care about.

The agree/disagree issue is pretty common across all sections of N4G. If I went into a news story listing upcoming PS3 or 360 titles and attacked them, I'd be slammed by disagrees and probably lose a bubble or two, regardless of the logical or reasonable arguments I made.

The major difference between the Wii fans here and the 360/PS fans is that most of the Wii fans don't post on news for systems they have no interest in just to say that they stink, have no good games, and that those who play them aren't "real gamers" or "hardcore." We're more interested in debating the merits of our system's games, mixed bag that they are.

Oh, and I was disappointed when I found out that this was Nintendo's European release schedule. I was hoping this would finally give me a North American release date for D:DoC.

I have no problem with the list at all. I understant that Wii is for everyone and I just do not enjoy playing tons of games that all look the same and play about the same which is what I would be doing if I kept my PS3. A more diverse gaming library will get you more sales. Thats why PS1 won, thats why PS2 won and thats why Wii will win this gen. While I am playing Disaster,De Blob and so on, the kid down the street will play the ones he likes and the girl next door to him will be playing her games and none of us will be playing the same thing. Thats how the Wii has sold more games than the 360 has. Sure Wii doesnt have a lot of 3rd party games in the top 10, but top 10 sales arent the only sales that matter.BTW its very telling that the people most upset over the Wii list of games are PS3 fans. You know why? They want games like Sid the Dummy, and Hannah Montana. Of course they'll never admit it but they also know that its this type of library that takes a console to the top spot. They just get angry and act like it sucks in hopes that they can convince someone to not buy a Wii for those games.

I like it when the PS3 fanboys come in here and rip the Wii. It tells me that they are questioning their decision. Quite frankly I don't check out a list of software coming out for a system I don't own. I'm quite happy with the Wii and the selection of games that I have and those that are due to be released. I have a family and my needs are diverse as far as gaming is concerned and the Wii fits the bill.

I find the comments that these people make kind of entertaining.

I can understand them reading the list - when I was fourteen and only had a SNES, I still liked to know what was coming out on the Mega-Drive; I was a fan of the industry as a whole, not just a few games that I could afford. But it's the fact that they initiate most of the arguments with what come across as tantrums that gets me laughing!

I'm not really concerned with the lists or lists coming. I'm more or less filled up with games I'll have to beat right now and the new software is starting to come out tool software so that may be my next game I'm playing for a while till the beginning of 09! Yet still Mega man 9 and bomber man online along with some sweet fighters should do the trick. I believe cross gen is coming to japan in dec? If retro does come back then we could see lots of games appearing before X-mas. Also people always act like nintendo is the only reason to get a Wii. 3rd parties are going to be the reason going forward they are just the cheery on top. Castlvania will be out in oct I believe.
