Animal Crossing: City Folk and Wii Speak to Retail for $70

Word has leaked from the ongoing GameStop manager's conference in Las Vegas that the Animal Crossing: City Folk and Wii Speak bundle will run you a pricey $70 -- news which cued one anonymous 1UP editor to exclaim, "$70!? For that price it had better come with a white van for abducting kids you meet in your magical little animal town."

The piece of sh-plastic steering wheel they came with mario kart didn't cost a thing.. but a microphone, OMG $70!? That mic better be bluetooth, and while they are at it just let people stick it to their head.

just the wiispeak will sell for $30.Nintendo at e3 have already said that Animal Crossing will be sold unbundled.I dont understand the big deal this is generating.This is the second article in as many days about the same thing.

Thats expensive, off topic: i have No games for my Wii, NONE! sure i rented SSBB, ZTP, Okami, but other than renting i havent bought any games or even looked at it, its pathetic. yeah Nintendo sells tons of hardware, but they don't have the software to back it up, i hate to say this but they are officially dead to me, i really dont have any other reason to keep it, except for Monster Hunter, and in case any big exclusives from other now gen consoles. Other than that my PS3 is my love always <3 *hugs PS3*

....don't get rid of it just yet,there's some serious titles on the way.

Third-party devs are coming around,the wii is vastly different then what they are used to.Not to mention the fact that ninty had to build it's third-party support back up..after the losses of the n64 and gamecube yrs.A few other factors play a role as well...such as the whole casual stigma ..and the fact that devs think that everyone that owns a wii are young kids and seniors,which is simply untrue.2009 is shaping up quite nicely,there seems to be some pretty good..if not great titles on the way ...hopefully this trend will continue.So....I would hold out a lil' bit longer..and see what you think of some of the upcoming titles..ya never know they may just surprise you :)

This is way off topic..But i read a user-made story of Animal crossing
I found it at like 3am one night and i got hooked on the story.

Its just so sick and twisted..yet hilarious at the same time.It was so well written.Here it is if anyone wants a good laugh.

I'm not buying that crap they're trying to force-feed me. If Wii-Speak pans out then I'll get it separately. I'd only end up wiping my ass with Animal Crossing Wii, so they won't get a cent from me for it.
