User-Generated Content is Here to Stay… on Your Console

GotGame: "LittleBigPlanet hopes to revitalize interest in the Playstation 3 in a pretty simple way: by giving all the creative power to the players. Given how hard Sony is pushing this title, you'd think this was the first game in history to encourage user creativity. So why is it that LittleBigPlanet is being credited as the next big thing when other new titles that encourage user-generated content, like Kenta Cho's Blast Works, haven't been receiving any kind of recognition?

1.1 - yeah
the title kinda puzzled me a bit
i mean "User-Generated Content is Here to Stay… on Your Console" kinda throws me off when they're comparing two UGC games

2 - title leads me off somewhat.
but basically the article is stating why LBP's user generated content is much more popular than that of Kenta Cho's Blast Works on the Wii.
I'll let you guys answer that question..

4.1 - Good thing I didn't "hit the jump"
I don't give my 10c ad revenue to sites that make articles solely to generate traffic or stir controversy just for the sake of it.

5 - Hmmm.
"LittleBigPlanet hopes to revitalize interest in the Playstation 3 in a pretty simple way"
- I thought it was already vitalized and was already building momentum.
However, I am pretty biased in favor of the PS3 :]

Nothing Sony has done so far has been innovative. Home isnt anything beyond what we have seen in Second life. Too many games today have editors so player created levels is nothing new.Just about every console since the Atari 2600 has had some form of motion control, that's nothing new either. Only a fanboy would make the claims you just did. I'm sure the only reason you feel that way is you are a sheltered Sony gamer who just started gaming last gen and really has no knowledge of what exists outside Sony world.

"LBP is merely the first of the batch. "
Funny thing is that Nintendo wanted this team but were to late because Sony already had a contract with them.
It's not Sony, it's actually a Team that started outside Sony.
Going by your logic everything that Sony touches = Sony.
" Sony is delivering what Nintendo promised to do but failed."
Why do people keep saying this, i really wonder what they promised?
They did what they wanted and that was expand the audience...that's pretty much it.
