looks good.....animations look better.......especially when someone gets blown by a grenade, they actually fly up in the air unlike COD4.....

to be honest, im extremely surprised. just not in a good way. It looks just like CoD4, but the knifing sprinting and reload animations look slightly worse. not to mention the textures on the weapons look rather bland (but ill blame that on SD streaming for now..) looks like treyarch's big brother Infinity Ward did all the work.. Hells highway may not look as good and may flop, but at least they did the work on their own. ill rent this, then happily wait for infinity ward's next installment.

..but the opponents AI gave me a bit of a smile. I wish frontline battles were always that easy :)

But I suppose too much realism might kill all the fun?

totally not impressed! and when I watched it, feel like I've seen it somewhere before! there was absolutely no CoD4 effect at all! I really think that Treyarch is not as good as IW at this!

Ok first things first it looks like any other cod game. You run up a linear path taking out waves and waves of regenerating enemies. Typical garbage last gen gameplay. I must say though Treyarch really surprised me they have better animations in this than in cod 4, I loved the ragdolls when the guy got grenaded and I love the gore I think I saw in the beginning. The negative thing I saw is how the guns feel weak and low powered. They must have a horrible military adviser because that Browning automatic rifle and that M1 garand are both firing 30-06 rounds huge rounds that pack amazing firepower. They also had big recoil. I would like more recoil and perhaps more 1 shot kills if they shoot the guys to the chest.

never happy?...people where happy the first 3 times Activision threw this game at us...and were EXTREMELY happy when IW decided to finally take us out of WWII for the first time this decade...

not being happy about CoD World at War is simply a problem with the standards that the franchise itself has created...its not our fault...World at War doesn't look impressive...cod 4 still looks far superior imo, be it just visuals or gameplay included...

if you are happy with this, good for you...CoD 4 raised console shooters standards so far above what World at War looks like so far I could barely see myself renting it...but that doesn't mean I am never happy...Killzone 2's multiplayer trailer released earlier today is doing just fine for that part...

Also you could hear his gun firing slightly before he had it leveled and aimed infront of him - only a slight niggle but its there none the less.

what CoD game ever had impressive AI...each game in the franchise just throws hundreds of enemies at you in the form of non-stop respawns that you simply have to get 'past' to deactivate...each individual enemy is always a total idiot...the problems is there are usually around 30 idiots with guns pointed at you...

16 - I think animation is fluid, looks good.
I'm interested to see this game. Will get it when it comes out. I'm gald that they kept the knife from COD4 that's awsome.

Also COD6 if ever comes better be a modern day shooter!!

I love WWII but enough already :D

17 - Infinite wave and pineapples
I was glad to see that there wasn't much of the non-stop grenades at your feet that really made playing cod4 on the harder skill levels an aneurysm inducing experience. Sure they'll be in there, though, in addition to the laziest level design/AI decision ever: the infinite wave of enemies. MP with vehicles might make it worth checking out though.
