I wasn't expecting much graphically either, I just hope the motion controls are executed properly. I'm crossing my fingers for this one and Madworld.

Looks pretty weak, man.

Capcom's my favorite 3rd party developer, and I love them because they're so great at listening to their fans.

But this doesn't look very promising... It looks like they took out everything that made Dead Rising great, and this is what's left over.

I still gotta cut them some slack, though. I think they're doing the best they can do for what they're working with. But in my opinion, they shouldn't have considered Dead Rising Wii.

edit: But by reading the 1UP preview, it states Capcom is aiming for 100 zombies on-screen at once. If they can do this, I apologize for doubting!

3.1 - yeah, i was thinking the same thing
Isn't this the game where they said they wanted to have about 100 zombies on screen at a time. There was about five at any given time on screen, what gives.

4 - aw-some!
man if the wii gets zombie dogs and animals then they should try and add them to the xbox. i always found it strange there is never any animals, or kids, and disabled people in sandbox games. i know they don't want to start any bad PR but sometimes you have to do it for the sake of being a artist.

This is a grave day for the Wii...what an utterly underwhelming experience this looks to be; glad I never bought a Wii.

That was difficult to watch.

Capcom...why butcher a beautiful game?

A PS3 version would sell at least 2 times more than this.

Holy crap that looked lame.

This turns the bustling mall from the first and turns it into a mini market at best. Maybe more like a liquor store on a good day.

If they really can fit 100 zombies at once for this, they better have screen shots of that soon.

11 - not impressed so far, sadly.
I'd love a good version of dead rising for the wii, any excuse to play that game once again, but from that video it looks like they really cut down on how many zombies on screen. I'm not expecting a full blown version like the fantastic job they did for the 360 but c'mon.

There's no excuse really, even the weakest engines can handle many enemies on screen, it just means the ones further away have to be really low detail, which does not matter as your eyes generally focus on stuff in the foreground anyway.

12 - Sorry Capcom you had me gripped but lost me with this!
Several companies are slowly coming out of the woodwork with new game ideas and especially better use of graphic engines. Cough High Voltage.

If you are going to port a game it has to be able to stand out from others in some shape or form. The only thing that stands out here are as previosly mentioned by others:

The lack of zombies and the awefull graphics.

State of emergency on ps systems far surpasses these graphics and for the number of people on screen along with destructable environs etc.

The other thing i note is that the use of colours and contrast massively affects the graphical quality of the game. Take a look at the Conduit where pixel shaders are used dramatically to boost the level of colour and thus make the graphics seem superior.

Turn on the lights please capcom, some highlights and neon affects will produce the same almost HD appearance many xbox 360 games are in-fact a combination of glare and pixel shade effects and very easily done.

in the mean time my money is waiting for the following

The Conduit, Madworld, Deadly creatures, courage mountain and COD5 see a trend here? yes that's right games developers actually take time and effort on and use the real power of the wii.

In Capcom's defence, this is an early version and they say they'll get the zombie count up to 100.

Yes. High Voltage have all those shader effects, but how many baddies do they have on screen at once? Have you seen a Conduit trailer with more that 4 enemies on screen at once?
Because I haven't.

Don't forget Capcom made the best looking Gamecube game last generation (RE4).
So they know the Gamecube/Wii architecture really well.

I think you're being naive if you think 100 zombies will look as good as 2 or 3 enemies in The Conduit.
Cut the Capcom dudes some slack.

Oh, and by the way Courage Mountain? Have you seen any screenshots yet? Because I haven't.
Let's just wait and see how these games turn out before we praise them shall we? And in Capcom's case let's wait to see the finished article before we bad mouth the graphics.

Patience gaznutta.

Funny using the umbrella and shopping cart. You really can use anything as a weapon huh? Early build but still looks promising Capcom said they are going for 100 enemies on screen so it will get better

the games not even done yet so stop critizicing it so much. Capcom makes good games for the wii, i havent seen a capcom wii game fail so it wont be horrible. Even if the graphics do suck it could still be a game thats fun to play, thats all that counts.
