Alone in the Dark needs to take "major step," says Villette

Antoine Villette, founder of I Am Alive developer Darkworks, has told VG247 he believes Alone in the Dark can still be great, but only if Atari is prepared to make radical changes to its format.

A "major step" would be to put a bullet through its head and leave it alone.

They need to redo the animation system, fix the controls, redo the combat system. I think they need to scrap the existing engine and make a new game, keep the fire techs with them but shoot the voice actor main character:@

7 - This franchise has a lot of potential...
I mean, really when those guys said their inspiration was taken from Die Hard and 24, or Lost, it became clear at that time this was no true sequel to Alone in the Dark. But gameplay wise it was something very innovative but like always you learn by trial and error. Now, what they need to do is to look back at what made the game great in first place. It was the deep engaging story-line of the game. Have the game take place in confined spaces and not grander, and base it on Lovecraft's mythos.

I'm serious! Get the PS2 version! It's waaaay better than the 360 version and the Wii version!

I can't wait for the PS3 version ;)
