Fatal Frame IV Ships With Crippling Bugs
15
A lot of impatient folk imported Fatal Frame IV when it came out in Japan this week, rather than wait around for someone to announce a US ship date, and they may be regretting it. The game shipped to stores with some crippling bugs unfixed. Most of the bugs are documented at the NeoGAF forum, the most severe causing the game to freeze and lock up. These sort of errors tend to be fixed before North American releases, but Tecmo has apparently released some extremely buggy DLC content for Ninja Gaiden 2 in the US.

Ouch Tecmo what are you doing to this title :( Just cuz you can patch games later doesn't mean it should be standard practice

It's unfortunate that this trend seems to be making its way into console titles, also.
But I think console game reviewers tend to factor large noticeable bugs to review scores.

How desperately disappointing.
I'd wait for reviews of any US version just to be sure that these issues have been excised.

It doesn't matter. More than a few Wii games have shipped with "Crippling Bugs" but a) they still sell and b) reviewers tend not to care.

I think you meant, "b) The typical Wii user doesn't care" or is just too new to video games to realize that bugs can be tested and avoided.

5 - I own Fatal Frame 2 Director's Cut
And I would of love seen this game in a next gen console. I mean why does it have to be exclusive to the wii.

6 - Unfortunate.
But I pretty much assumed this would be rushed rubbish as soon as it was announced for Wii.
No surprises here really, except from the people who expected it to be a good game based no trailers and previous releases and who are desperately seeking reasons to hold on to their Wii's until next year.

1.1 - Good Thing 1st Party Games rarely have this problem.
Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft's 1st Party games rarely have bugs, but glitches will always be exploited.
