Max Payne 3 is Rockstar's Secret Project?

As I am sure many of you are aware by now, Rockstar recently teased us all in the latest issue of the Official Playstation Magazine. Rockstar stated that they are working on a "cool" new project based on a license so could this cool new game be Max Payne 3 - a game renowned for its icy setting?

come up with something to top bullet time because after bullet-time was implemented every game under the sun had bullet-time for like a year in fact i remember a gba game having bullet time and slow mo lol

the engine you are trying to think of is the Euphoria engine, its pretty good but if a devoloper really works a little harder on the animations it can look better than the Euphoria engine.(uncharted, killzone2)

i'm pretty sure they are going to add online (they could make a cool one imo) just because everyone seems to be doing it, i hope its rated M too.

they will probably add a cover system too.

What is rockstar's ps3 exclusive game? Aren't we supposed to get 2 or something? Is it max payne? And aren't they supposed to be working on alan wake? The max payne people I mean.

Well although Remedy did develop the first 2, I believe they sold the rights to Take-Two. Officially they now own the rights so technically they could change the developer.

Besides, something must be keeping Remedy busy because Alan Wake has vanished!

5 - day one purchase ..
I love both max payne games.. I love the physics in MP2 .. the story in the first one..

gameplay was really fun and attracting .. but this time I want a longer single player with new gameplay features (like sandbox missions,customize weapons,more boss battles,puzzles.. etc)

they put Max Payne 3 as under development. And then there was discussions about a clash between the movie and the game.

Yeah, Max Payne 2 was very good and was WAY better than the first to me.

In Max Payne 2 you got to play as Ramona (the girl Max is in love with) during certain parts of the game.

Max Payne 2 had a lot of framerate issues though...but it was still a very good game to me.

If I remember correctly, I think that Ramona died during the end of the game too

What.. I never even finsihed the second one, I couldn't get used to how different they made the controls on it ( PS2 ) and how they changed his look, nowhere near the same as the first game. Just didn't like it at all really..

also, doesn't he get shot in the head and live ??

Max Payne one was a masterpiece, 2 was pants. ( opinion )

Yes, but that's 7 million sales spread over 3 titles, not one 'game' (and, of course, it is the fortunes of the last game that matter most when deciding whether to make another game)- the sales of Max Payne 2 were regarded as relatively disappointing, given the calibre of the game.

After the great funhouse level of Max Payne 2 I'd love to see Max Payne 3 set around an entire theme park controlled by his enemies.

I said spread over 3 titles (kinda), and considering #2 didn't sell well we have to assume 6million titles were between Max Payne 1 and Game boy version.

They will likely try one more attempt, 6 million copies after all, and if it fails then I think Max Payne will finally be laid to rest.

As I mentioned in the article...look at Beyond good and Evil...
