IGN: The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor Review

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor is simply a bad game. It may have been better with more time and a few more eyes taking a look at the product before it shipped, but it's just as likely that biting all that style off better games just meant it would have been a pale imitator to begin with. As the game stands now, it's an infuriatingly unbalanced, unpolished and underwhelming experience that nobody -- not even fans of the movies -- should spend money on.

1 - Not a real gamer!
Ok folks i am not sure who-ever reviewed this knows what they are talking about. The camera system is quite simply one of the best on the wii.

The reviewer is comparing the cam to that of Tomb Raider and there simply is no comparison.

Swift movements from the camera system allow you to almost forget about it and play the game, what you are there for. Off screen enemies??? i did not encouter one and as for the boring combat and difficulty, well lets say this is one game you will not complete in one sitting yes it is rather difficult particularly the boss bottles but not impossible.

Persevere with this and you have yourself a little gem.

The first thing you will notice about the game is the solid build, lens flares and textures are abundant, in fact few surfaces do not have any form of artistic lighting etc..there are a few glitches to be found where white horizons can be seen but only on real close inspection.

The combat system works nicely, although there is a slight learning curve, much similar to that of red steel.CHaracter models actually look like the movie stars and use of dialogue ensures the interactive experience.

You will encounter several cheat deaths at first but as in Tomb Raider a bit of practice and you will soon be jumping around with ease.

So to sum up this game from a real gamer here goes

Highly entertaining platform/action romp
Good quality graphics, nice effects.
Sounds are just about right, a few minor niggles.
Difficult enough to last you a good few days solid.

Graphics 7/10
Gameplay 8/10
Music 6/10
movie reference 8/10
return appeal 6/10

overall 7/10
