Looks like a center speaker that connects to your sensor bar. No headset announced in conjunction. Focuses on groups.

I think it's cool, but what if you're playing in surround sound? Crank up the volume and A) you won't hear people and B) other people are just going to hear your loud volume

I can't wait to start hearing dogs barking in the background. Better yet, there's gonna be some great internet memes with kids getting yelled at for playing too much by mommy

8 - Call me whatever but I think Wii is retarded.
It's like giving the PS2 a motion controller and saying it's a "revolution". Like come on now wtf! is that innovative? That mic is just like a low budget webcam that takes in every sound from your apartment giving you the worst mic ever to have near your tv. Both the Wii and Nintendo has been on it's peak. Just a steep fall from now on.

9 - Potential if they realize it
Well, this is a cool development, and severely needed. Their online and social capability needs to increase not only to strengthen the "hardcore" element of the Wii, but it also directly relates to the success of the casual mindframe.

For example, Nintendo I hope you realize this, my godfather just got a Wii for the sole reason of Wii Fit. I told him his Wii has wireless ability, and that we could send messages back and forth and also join other games together across the country, and he was more than happy to go through the tedious process. He is a complete technophobe (while I am the opposite), and he was all over the WiFi connection, and everything that is there through tedium on the Wii.

If thats not an example of the necessity of Wii social aspects to further an already strong casual brand, I have no idea what does.

And for everyone worried about just the speaker, you know there will be an applicable headset coming out, first or third party. With the communication software out, any form of transmission/media can be applied.

The new naming scheme. Obviously a play on words.
