MM9 Confirmed for PSN and XBLA Release ; Plus IGN blowout

So far, games downloaded from Nintendo's Wii Shop Channel have remained split into two distinct categories; classics from the Virtual Console and all-new efforts on WiiWare. But Capcom is throwing a welcomed wrench into the system with the fall release of Mega Man 9, a title that mixes old and new – namely, a classic 8-bit graphical presentation with ground-up levels and play mechanics.

"Additionally, we've got some news to report. First, Capcom has confirmed to IGN that Mega Man 1 and 2 will be coming to the Virtual Console soon. And second, Mega Man 9 will also release for Xbox Live and PlayStation Network respectively. No, it's not a WiiWare exclusive, but nevertheless, it's going to make an excellent addition to the libraries of all three consoles. "

i realy was dreading playing this with waggle controls because i dont feel like purchaing a new retro controler just to play a 9.99 game on Wii. the PS3 my goodness it's megaman i dont care. really though. I think they should have gone with a classic sprite updated by a nearly polygonal effort. kinda like Bionic Commando:Rearmed. i mean it's good that they are taking it back to it's 2d roots, but i think they would have done much better if they had did it like Megaman 8, or MegaMan Maverick: HunterX on PSP. O well It's MegaMan 9 people i'm so getting it on PSN.

Any and i do say any game made for the Wii supports it's waggle controls.. if you didn't know that then you must have been trapped in the past for the last 2 decades. and if you didn't READ WTF i said let me rephrase that I didn't want to go out and purchase a retro nintendo controler for the Wii because they do have them. you know the ones nintendo made to support playback of nintendo classics and super nintendo classics over the Virtual Consol without the use of the Wii-mote. get ur self educated, u Freakin TOOL

I haven't been too big on Capcom late with DMC4 not living up to my expectations and SF4 going back to the SF2 way of fighting. But THIS, this nearly makes up for everything i have gripes with. A 2-D Megaman is something from out of my dreams and hopefully it'll stop making Megaman a laughing stock in video games... Now only if Sega would do the same with Sonic my childhood favorites would be redeemed.

This is the best news I've had all week! Man, I was a little dude when I would play Mega Man on NES. Those were great times in my life. Such memorable gameplay, tunes, and fun. This will be awesome for me and so many others.

well I'm suprised this game was being made for the wii anway, I mean 8 bit graphics? I didn't think the wii could handle that, it looks like it will really push the system, haha no just kidding though, I love the poor wii, but if they implemented the IR into the wii version that would be cool, like to aim his arm cannon and stuff, anyway, thats great, everyone gets to experience the game (as long as they have an internet connection) but what would be really cool is if the PSN, LIVE, and WiiConnect 24 leaderboards would all work together so you could see which console has the most hardcore Megaman Player, OLD SCHOOL NINTENDO FANS FTW!

When this title was a wii only title....people seemed rather disappointed with capcom's latest mm effort,now all of the sudden it's like ..it's the second coming.People...or dare I say fanboys are crazy about it now,what was wrong with it before ..was it simply because it was for a nintendo console.
