Wii Fit is a scam meant for 'zombie' consumers

Despite the success of Wii Fit around the world, it has also faced its fair share of criticism, whether it be the bungled BMI analysis or being a poor excuse for 'real' exercise.

Balance Board Blog writes that one gaming journalist, Ricky Bills, is certainly planet firmly within the negative camp, explaining that Wii Fit is for zombies, and that "disguising a balance board as a substitute for a healthy diet and exercise routine seems a disservice to Wii consumers."

Ummm....who cares? If people fell into the hype in the first place, what makes you think Nintendo didnt take notice? Next thing you know, they will sell more pointless products.

...the guy is just mad he didnt created this brilliant money printer.
It prints money, and if he invented it he would be whiping his as$ with MONEY.

Its time people STFU about it, if there is a market, it wont stop the developers/designers behind it.

( can anyone imagen how long games like horse simulators have been selling? and no one took notice?!...wow Wii-fit must burned into that memory of yours)

I haven't read where Nintendo were purporting the Wii Fit is a "substitute for a healthy diet and exercise". It's more of a substitute for sitting on your a** all day and playing video games. If you do this for just 30 minutes a day, any of the activities, it's better than your sitting your butt for that same 30 minutes. And over the long term, you will undoubtedly see an improvement. Unless you go and think, "Hmmm, I'm exercising: I can eat the WHOLE pizza now."
