New Mario Kart Wii Tournament now live

Destructiod writes: Sick of Mario Kart Wii already? Today, that may change, at least a few minutes. Nintendo has just gone public with their latest online Mario Kart Wii tournament, accessible to anyone with a Wii, the game, and a wireless internet connection. This is undoubtedly the most worthwhile online Mario Kart Wii tournament yet (the third in an ongoing series), as it features both a new arena and a Mario Kart DS style boss fight against some Spikey Topmen from Super Mario Galaxy.

damn.. now i gatta try it..

though on the DS it came with the game.. these "Tournaments" seem like just pieces of the game being Unlocked for a limited time..

i wonder if you actually download ANYTHING here.. i love the game but i have a feeling this stuff should be unlocked from the start.. like in DS
