Yep, gotta agree with P4KY B. As an ancient person I have found 360 environment more suitable for me as well.

PS3 is more cool "hightech" gadget for teens and young adults barely over 20. They love to be all posh with their bling blings and sh!t.

P4KBY if you wanted to game with you more ppl your age, you should've got the PS3. The adult to kid ratio is nothing compared to the 360 which is full of annoying kids. My guess is that the higher cost of the PS3, is off-putting for parents having to spend money for a console, so they go for the 360. As a *cough* 30 something gamer, you should've taken that into account.

And saintsony... you're an idiot. Which target demographic do you think is going to be able to afford and WANT Blu-ray playback with Dolby HD or DTS-HD MA to go with their HDTV? I've yet to hear a teen say they can afford those along with the higher ps3 price.

Way to spin and not actually read the article.

Its a survey of teens only.

No indication that the results would be any different for an older audience at all, so you can't imply that. Its simply an insight into the teen mind.

You assertion therefore that the PS3 owner is younger,is based on fresh air and fantasy - sorry, but you could not derive that from this report.
I rather suspect the opposite is true as price is more of an issue for younger people, and my experiences on live have shown a substantial user base of whooping teenagers (which I often find very off putting). I only have 12 friends on my PSN games list, but 90% of them are in their 30's, and I'm the only one who has a 360 as well.
I'd love to see a breakdown on an older demographic as I think it would be very interesting, but till then, we have to make do with an insight into teens! :)

I find it quite interesting to see the breakdown of the different geographical regions. They seem to closely resemble the sales data we know though, so theres no real surprises!

I also liked the 360 because it was so cheap, until it started rrod'ing on me so many times. Now to get the much more reliable and better crafted ps3.

See what I did there? I have an opinion too, but it was shallow and mean and no one wants to read stuff like this. You may have an opinion but you should be mature and courteous about it.

When I did play COD4 on PSN (since it's release) I can count on my hands the number of encounters I've had with immature youngsters.

You guys need to be realistic about this. Xbox 360 has sold many more units in the USA than PS3. Even if the ratio of annoying kids:mature adults where the same, you would still encounter more annoying kids on the Xbox Live

I too was old enough to be drinking in pubs when the original space invaders machines launched. I've played and owned everything since.

I've got nothing against the 360 and own and use mine regularly. But I prefer the PS3 - as do most of my old gaming crowd, who are all old gamers who were pretty 'mad for it!'

Its only my experience mind you - but based on that, you are wrong and just trying to troll....

Hooray - it seems you are older than me! At 44 I thought I might be pushing my luck to expect older, but I'm glad I'm not.
Maybe we can reminise of iron core memory when you could see each bit being clocked through the memory by watching the cores move up or down? Or filling in 'punch cards' and then posting them, to indicate your next move in a game of chess with a university computer, I used to wait a week, then get the return move! They were days.... :)

Second thoughts, I'll stick to modern tech. Its great deal more exciting! :)
