NCAA Football 09 Interview - 'PS3 Version 60 FPS'

"This is our year." Those are the words of NCAA Football's product manager Kendall Boyd as he sits down to talk about the 09 version of his game.

Boyd explains how the team is much farther along in development than they were last year at this time, and when Gametap ask him about the PS3 version's inferior frame rate, he has the words that Sony gamers have been dying to hear. "The PS3 version will run at 60 frames per second."

Finally. I heard something like EA and microsft announced madden would run at 30fps on ps3 at GDC if this is true then it has to be intentional EA sabotage. I see no reason why ncaa can do 60 and madden can't. SO i can actually buy madden on ps3 this yr:D. I doubt i will get NCAA this yr i will just go for Madden college football this season was boring. NFL on the other hand was crazy. So definitely going for madden.
LOL actually after reading the interview maybe i will give ncaa another shot. If they are TRULY going back to ps2 glory days

I think MS never expected EA to actually reach 60fps on the ps3 while the 360 games for EA would stick at 60fps.

It's almost as if they never expected EA to learn how to program for ps3 properly

EDIT- yeah it does seem doubtful mighty douche, but the only other explanation is that MS expects 120fps then. Which I SERIOUSLY doubt

Well its not goin to happen anytime soon, but one day 120fps yeah prolly.., my new samsung can do 120hz.. which it alone makes things seem to pop out at ya.. its hard to explain sense the tv itself does it without whats on the screen actually being at 120.

10 - Funny that EA are one of the largest if not the largest games guys around

yet it still took them so long to get up to speed (if they achieve what they say) I saw nascar o8 or 07 cant remember what 1 and i thought eff you EA, who the eff do you think you are releasing this sh*t then i played burnout and i thought to myself. This is why EA want to buy anything with a pulse that beats game creativity because they suck at it if you look at the grand scheme of things from a GAMING pov not an accountants one.

Please EA BIG (i think their Canadian) Don't make the next SSX suck like the other BIG titles you've released.

Overspecialise and you breed in weakness. I don't care if you make the same games for my tamagochi, satnav, mobile whatever just get the 'proper ones' right

Well it took EA the same amount of Years/Maddens to get 360 running @ 60 fps.

As good as that is to hear, I think the more important thing is the fixing of the game engine. I don't think you guys realize how much I love College Football, far more than the Pro Football. I aways buy EA's College Football but last year I also bought All Pro Football. After playing APF for few sessions and then going back to EA's CF it was startling to feel how more arcadey the CF game was. I traded it in soon after. Unfortunately, I don't think they will change it that much. I know I'm in the minority in thinking this.

But you guys are on my hit list until Madden is superior on PS3. EA has issued a statement about lead development of EA games shifting to PS3, but Madden is still a question.

i will prolly try out ncaa09 as for madden noty the last 3 have been crap 06 07 08 all sucked imo inless they do a major over haul on the game play i wont waste my time on it this year last years was the worst i bought it took it home played it for like 2-3 hrs and took it back traded in for a differnt game lolz
