Japanese Super Smash Bros. Brawl selling for $240 on eBay

As Super Smash Bros. Brawl (SSBB) fans in North America anxiously await the March 9 launch of the highly anticipated title, the wait in Japan is over. Japanese gamers came by the masses throughout Tokyo today to pick up a copy of the game, with shortages now appearing evident in the region. With that, like some distributors in Japan, at least one eBay seller is looking to profit over the huge demand for SSBB that Nintendo simply cannot meet.

2 - Is it worth it?
That is the question? If the game came out 10-12 months before in Japan, I would probably think of buying it at 120 $. 2 years, possibly, it is worth it.

4 - 240?
You could buy 4 ps3 or xbox 360 games for that. I could save up for the best two games on each platform coming out this year. Screw that, let the idiots get that, I 'll just buy four better games on the 360 and ps3 than SSBB.

You could buy a Wii for that much, price gouge it, and make a $300 profit as an alternative.

I'd wrather think of it the other way. If you could buy more than one copy on launch day, and I'm assuming that some places would allow so, that's some extra pocket cash on your end. Heck, I'd eBay my copy off even if it meant $240 in my pocket and another 2month+ wait on another copy. Supply and demand my friends! XD

But seriously, I'd auction my copy off to some desperate buyer.

If people are willing to buy it @ that price, then it must be a must have.I wouldn't be suprised if some people would by it for a higher price.

same went for another game thats a MUST, people will spend more on it because they don't care about the price. they care about having the game.

People also spend 600 Euro's on a Ps3 ( and that is a retail price) while we all know its a bit expensive, yet people got it because they didn't care for the price.
If you want something you get it! unless you cant pay for it XD

yeah sure Brawl needs hype....XD
the franchise used to be a hype then it was realized as a Popular game because its good.
there is no need for hype, the name it self is the keyword.

And from a logical standpoint, companys want money, holding back stuff will only damage them.
