2 - As long
as it's cool to buy a Wii, it'll keep selling.
I think the Wii's target audience has/will shift past the average gamer into general consumer territory.

3 - The Wii isn't doomed...
if it can maintain software sales. The author of the article states that casual gamers don't usually follow gaming news so they don't always know what's coming out at any given time. They usually peruse a store and if they happen to be in the gaming section, they may find something that they think would be enjoyable. The Wii certainly is far from doomed, but it will need the consistent software sales to maintain it's momentum. I don't rank it as well as the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but it's a decent system nonetheless. I don't flame people just because they don't want an HD console. If they like the Wii and they enjoy it, who gives a rats ass what other people think?

I actually think in 2008 Wii is gonna have the best year ever and mostly thanks to the casual gamers. Why? The answer is very simple: Wii Fit. I hate that thing but it will sell beyond measuer and will outsell GTA4, MGS4 and Halo3 combined.
Mario Kart and SSBB will also do phenomenal. Casuals don't care about GTA, MGS, Halo and such. They'll eat up the Wii Fit and rest of Wii's casual offerings.

the wii has no problem besides better quality third party games. whether casual or hardcore.. and third parties needing to advertise their games instead of crying about not selling.... casual games should keep coming cause more non videogame players are picking up the wii everyday.. now if this continues past 08 or if alot of hardcore games are not release also then that could be a problem. but for now thats not an issue
