Nintendo dismisses Mario Kart rumours

Nintendo has told Eurogamer the latest rumours to emerge about Mario Kart Wii are nothing more than speculation.

As reported by Aussie-Nintendo, Nmag Gamepro magazine claims the game will feature 32 courses - half of which will be brand new, half old favourites.

The mag also claims Baby Peach and Boo will appear as drivers, snaking will make a comeback, Battle mode will be playable online and the controls will be similar to those in Excite Truck.

It would have been better if Nintendo just left us hanging, it would lead to more speculation. Which is good for the gamers, it gives us something to talk about =D.

Yep im looking forward to see how they use motion control in it. Love Mario Kart. Whats happened to the original Super Mario Kart on virtual console???? Why are nintendo taking so long to release it????

I think that by implementing motion controls,and not having an option will for sure cripple what can otherwise be a BAD ASS GAME!!! Dont get me wrong Excite Truck was a real fun and innovative game,but the motion control thinggy works for some games not ALL..I sure hope that our beloved Nintendo gives us options to how we want to drive...Please,Please give us an option..
