Digital Spy: Overlord: Dark Legend Review

Overlord: Dark Legend is a well-considered and realised transportation of the franchise to the Wii. It intelligently uses the benefits of the console's control system and hardware, while also side-stepping the pitfall of being too cutesy to please a casual gaming audience. However, the game just falls short of delivering a flawless package thanks to some irksome technical issues and an unfortunate lack of real challenge to test more hardcore players. Despite this, the basic ingredients of this new Wii franchise still look very promising for the future, but it's clear that the young dark lord needs a while longer to learn the basics before becoming truly evil.
