Wii Sports Resort has a Zelda style sword fighting game

Kumite is an on rails sword slashing brawler with dozens of Miis to fight at once. When you start kumite your Mii automatically runs until it's surrounded and stopped by a group of Miis. You have to slash and trash the other Miis before they hit you and sap your three hearts.

Most Miis are cowards and vanish in a blue light after getting hit once. Kumite mode has mid-boss Miis with two hearts that also block and a real boss with three hearts to face at the end of every level. There are ten stages to play and that take place in various parts of the island. One level is in a castle and in another level you walk up a mountain. Levels also change depending on the time of day. You can fight in the castle at night or at noon. I know these settings are generic, but I they vaguely felt like I was playing The Legend of Zelda Swords.

Miyamoto said Wii Sports Resort will have the base mechanics of the next Zelda which sounds good in my opinion.

I can't wait for Wii Sports Resort. It's shaping up with some nice games in the set.

As long as you can't win everything by flailing, that would suck.

I loved the golf from Wii Sports Resort.

I was always confused by Nintendo’s decision to kill the franchise. “Super” stayed with Mario titles even after the Super Nintendo. They can still use the Wii name. Hell it’s been so long that releasing a new one, or even an HD remaster, will tap into that nostalgia market.

Super Mario launched on the NES not the Super NES.

Super was never because of the Super Nintendo. Super Mario Bros launched on the NES. The Super is because it's an indirect sequel to Mario Bros.

They can just call it Nintendo Sports or something, but using the Wii name would be a bit confusing.

Yeah i agree but i don't think Nintendo will be bringing wii sports to the Nintendo Switch samething goes for diddykong racing
