GamersHub: Deadly Creatures Review

Deadly Creatures places you in the role of both a Tarantula and a Scorpion making their way through a deadly world of spiders, snakes, and other dangerous insects all the while following a sinister story line involving treasure and the greed of that other deadly creature we know as man.

The gameplay is fairly linear as you follow the main storyline battling other creatures, bosses, and watching cutscenes. The environment is both great, and frustrating at the same time. Great feel of being a spider or scorpion, but at times the bland environment mixed with some areas so dark you wish spiders had flashlights it can be somewhat tedious and saps away from the overall experience. I found more then once the need to press a button which brings up an arrow showing which way you should go to reach the next linear goal.

The boss fights are old school in you have to find the method to defeat the boss whether it is a certain timed strike or a weakness the boss has.
