WTP Review: Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop

If you've seen the zombie classic Dawn of the Dead (or even the 2004 remake), you know the basic plot of Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop; you're trapped in a shopping mall that's swarming with voracious, flesh-eating zombies. You need to make use of a near-endless supply of weapons – some traditional and some hilariously improvised – to fend off the bloodthirsty creatures, and a few equally murderous humans. If you can survive for a set period of time while rounding up a handful of other survivors, you win.

Chop Till You Drop is an adaptation of the very successful Xbox 360 game Dead Rising. The Wii version differs slightly in terms of structure, but the most apparent difference is the control scheme. Players must swing the Wii Remote around to beat off the rampaging zombies with melee weapons, and the remote is also used to aim guns and ranged weapons too.
