Computer game (Wii Fit) helps girl walk again

Nicole Cahill (10) from Enniscorthy, Co Wexford, took her first steps in four years years at a New York hospital late last year.

Since returning home on December 14, Nicole has stunned family and friends with her progress and is now expected to walk unaided by the end of the year."

It was this type of media coverage that got my parents to buy it, the wii gets free advertising and the advertising is often incorrect (wii will help u get fit and healthy) this is assuming u spend ur time playing wii for a whole year u may lose a couple of pounds, unless u like playing wii boxing

the doctors help her walk again. she just basically used the wii as a physical therapy session. This is why i hate physical therapists(they hardly do anything and they get paid well).

Gameboy isn't a game either, cause it taught my nephew how to read from playing pokémon on it. And Xbox isn't a game cause it taught me how to drive withe the wheel peripharel. PS3 isn't a game cause It plays blu-ray movies. We can do this all day bud, but Im more interestrested in the story than you bull-headed finkises so hung up on console wars that you can't be happy for the girl cause she used a Wii Fit, and you'd rather crack jokes. but the problem is, i don't believe in god, this little girl wouldn't even need to learn to walk again if god actually cared for her, where is the sense? your so called god, he doesn't believe in you, so why should you in him? he doesn't care or love you, so why should you for him? what you all seem to forget is, gaming isn't about motion, its about sitting down and playing with your fingers, not your body, once again, that racing game with the race wheel, a simulator... you proved my point yourself! the fact that consoles play movies, its just little extras, but if your sole purpose is not to make real games, but simulations, just proves its not a console!
