IGN: The Tale of Despereaux Wii Review

Regardless of the version, Tale of Despereaux is the type of game you need to avoid at all costs. Despereaux's movement and jumping (especially on the PS2) is a disaster; combat is a serious exercise in button-mashing; and the lack of camera control, as well as any real sense of depth, makes playing through Despereaux a chore. No matter where you look, you'll only see poorly executed game design. IGN strongly advises you to save your money and leave this one on the shelf.
