1UP Review: Wild West Guns

Review by Andrew Hayward:

"Wild West Guns may draw from a long line of light-gun favorites -- notably Duck Hunt, Lethal Enforcers II, and any number of live-action-video arcade shooters -- but considering its structure and support of the Wii Zapper peripheral, Gameloft's WiiWare title is pretty clearly positioned as a Western-themed spiritual successor to Link's Crossbow Training. Realistic (era-appropriate) firearms, dust-covered storefronts, and clichéd cowboys and Indians replace the fantastical settings and familiar characters of Nintendo's Zapper pack-in, but the serviceable shooter never really differentiates itself from its obvious inspiration -- even retreading too much of its own ground before the bite-sized experience concludes."
