Miyamoto: "Designers Should Be Looking at Humans"

Legendary game creator Shigeru Miyamoto has some advice for game designers: Look around.

Miyamoto said that today's game designers shouldn't get strung-up by technology, graphics and polygon counts. Instead, Miyamoto believes that designers "should be looking at humans" for inspiration.

Miyamoto elaborated on that idea: "As game designers, the trend is often for concentrating on pushing graphics, or other capabilities, or network features in new games…But I like to think that game designers would be better off trying to think about things such as health or mental improvement, rather than technology itself."
