Canadian games reporter takes a closer look at Deca Sports' curling, and suggests it is compelling enough that a full fledged curling game might be in order. From his review:
"...As is often the case with the activities featured in these multi-game titles, the curling in Deca Sports is a very simplified version of the real life game; squads have only three members who take turns throwing individual stones, and you can play a maximum of only six ends per match.
However, it still does a terrific job of capturing the essence of the sport. Much of curling's signature strategy is here; players will dutifully put up guards, chip out opponents' stones, and order sweepers to speed up slower moving granite. And, thanks to wonderfully intuitive motion sensitive controls that see players' arms and hands miming the procedure of delivering a rock and applying varying amounts of curl, the act of throwing a virtual stone feels surprisingly familiar.
In fact, this authenticity combined with the game's depth of tactics is what makes curling the standout activity in Deca Sports..."
