IGN: WiiWare Launch Special

Nintendo's WiiWare download service launches today with an odd – but still pretty rewarding – lineup from the Big N. IGN have been counting the days until Nintendo's take on the Xbox Live Arcade arrived on the Wii Shop Channel, and while they would consider the US release to be far and away stronger than the Japan launch they saw a month back, there are still some odd choices for the lineup.

Needless to say, IGN have been playing game after game today in order to provide you with everything you need to make smart shopping choices, but along the way they couldn't help but wonder what's holding back a few of the entries for this momentous occasion. The launch today consists of six titles, the smallest of which come in at 500 points, with the largest at 1500, and an overall cost of 5400 (or $54.00) for the entire set.
