Nintendo's 2008 plans include a new Zelda game and a Super Mario Galaxy Sequel

In an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto from Game Grep Magazine, he announced some of his plans for the rest of 2008. First off, the Wii Balance Board. While it's currently only compatible with Wii Fit, he hopes to use it in future titles. Miyamoto also says he would like to work on a new Zelda title for Wii, as well as a sequel to Super Mario Galaxy. What exactly is in store for the Wii's future? We'll just have to wait and find out.

Ill buy a wii for zelda any day of the week.

Edit: Ill buy it the exact same day as the Zelda comes out...so hopefully the price drops. I dont expect that game in 2008 or early 2009.

I want one, but I dont think its worth $250....im going to wait.

Archaeox5867d ago

This is getting repetetive

Its always Mario and Zelda isn't it?

Breakfast5867d ago

To bad i still like those games... If they stop making them ill be angry as hell.

Maybe your trying to say to come up with something new....but, i still want the oldies.

Whoooop5867d ago (Edited 5867d ago )

Oldies are good and I understand what you're saying, but it's getting ridiculous now.

I used to like Nintendo, but I left it behind exactly because of releasing the same games again and again.

I love oldies like MGS, GTA, GT, R&C etc.. and I know these games I'm mentioning are not that old, but still they were PSone games and I'm also very exited about new IP's and interesting sequels from new games.

That's what I love about SONY and the Playstation, they keep the games that made it succeed, but they are constantly developing new, fun ip's.

Nintendo just changes the hardware and puts a costume to the same games.

Palodios5867d ago

It really bothers me. Nintendo has no shortage of talent, but they rely too heavily on the same three series. I want to see some more creativity !

MrBii5867d ago

is that GTA, MGS4, TK6, FF series, Ratchets etc truly do feel like new sequals because they go beyond.

Whereas most mario, zelda, metroid feel more like remakes than true sequals.

Everything in those games stay the same. They add a little bit of variety here, a little change there, a new suit here, update the graphics a little, those midi sounds stay the same, they change the art style a little and voila..."a new" zelda. Dude, Basically, if you played Ocarina of Time, you played all the other zeldas after that. But there is no story to propel it and youre just playing for nostalgia feeling. Well my nostalgia feeling isnt worth 60 bucks.

Wow really? And I heard the Earth's 2008 plans were to revolve around the sun.

HAHA, I love Zelda, but yeah, this is very not shocking.

Zelda Replay: Majora's Mask

VGChartz's Evan Norris: "Is Ocarina of Time as legendary as I remembered it? For the most part, yes. In spite of a handful of missteps — a few obtuse puzzles, some tedious backtracking, and a clunky stealth sequence — I don't believe the last 23 years have been unkind to it. Ocarina remains a brilliant example of the medium, a landmark game that shaped the future of its own franchise and 3D gaming in general. After more than two decades it retains its inventive dungeon design, challenging puzzles, dynamic combat, wistful storyline, unforgettable music, and empowering open-air freedom. I feel confident calling it one of the greatest games of the fifth generation, even if I'm no longer prepared to list it among the five best games ever made."

Pure unadulterated fun. They don't make them like this anymore...especially not the triple A industry.

Back when video rental was a thing, I rented out Majoria's Mask, I never finished it though. I did buy the 3DS version before the eshop shutdown, so maybe one day I'll finally play through the whole thing, it's amazing how well these games hold up though. I briefly played Ocarina of Time for a while and it was really fun.

6 Fun Games Where You Actually Play As The Bad Guy

While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.

Profchaos16d ago

Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.

It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny

Armored Core VI?

Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.

Is something big coming soon to branch the story?

banger8816d ago

No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).

ChasterMies15d ago

Trevor in GTA 6 is a sadist and psychopath who dabbles in cannibalism. Should be top of the list. These game “news” sites should hire people that know games.

Strange headline, as I thought the star of the show was Super RType. I almost bought RType Dimensions EX this last month and was just thinking, man I wish we had the SNES one somewhere on Switch. That's where I got my start w the series and I was beyond excited to see it drop this week!
