With the new Helldivers 2 Polar Patriots Warbond on the horizon, players aren't excited for it due to the regular nerfs weapons are receiving.

The current Helldivers 2 Major Order grants all players access to the 500KG Bomb and many are discovering its not a good Stratagem.
When they last use bring it for free last weekend I felt really really overpowered. It's better than an Orbital Railgun if you are good at throwing. It can one-shot an entire smaller bug hole. I was getting 600+ kills easily on the harder difficulties.
Eagle airstrike will do the same with a wider radius and 3 uses vs 2 on the 500lg. The 500kg makes up for the smaller radius with height which is good for the Bile Titans.
Needs a bigger AOE. It really feels like it does not have an AOE that is anywhere near how it looks.
Precision Strike is better. Much faster cooldown, and hit quite hard if you use it right.
A third faction is set to come to Helldivers 2, The Illuminate, and the latest leaks reveals a weapon for a never before seen enemy.

Loud minority. I get VERY excited and so do the ppl i play with. We get together and play test the items and just have a good time about it. Not sure where youre getting your info lol, seems so exaggerated…there are like 4 angry man-children complaining about the update’s items.
Everyone is voicing their concerns with nerfs, buffs, updates, and making the game not fun to play. This is a major problem with this game and that's why arrowhead admitted that they have made bad decisions when it comes to nerfs, buffs and updates. They said that they are having meetings all next week on this very topic so it's not fake news like some people are trying to make it out to be.
The new warbond is garbage but luckily you can at least play the game for in game currency to buy it. I have barely played the game because the updates are ruining the game for me but hopefully they can fix the problems. As soon as they do I'll jump back in for sure.
