Don't Blame Arrowhead For Helldivers 2's PSN Controversy, Blame Sony

Sony is to blame for Helldivers 2 getting brutally review bombed, so why is Arrowhead still catching strays?

Arrowhead's CEO is awesome and so transparent; they're demonstrating they're a gamer-first studio and will stand by our side even with a publishing partner as big as Sony.

I haven't seen anyone blaming Arrowhead except the dumb "but you knew!" takes... Which are useless, it's still the publisher that listed it for sale in unsupported countries.

We already were blaming Sony. Not a single person I've seen talk about this has blamed Arrowhead. Not even the article managed to show a single example either. Review bombing doesn't count as it was clear the action was directed at Sony.

That is not true, at all. PC gamers threw a tantrum and blamed both Sony and Arrowhead. Everyone who read the Helldivers subreddit knows this. I've heard enough of PC gamers whining to last me a lifetime. Now they are whining about balance changes to weapons.

Going to be honest I think most of the blame does fall on Arrowhead. If they knew account linking was a requirement as part of their publishing relationship with Sony then they should have had the game reflect that on day one.

It was already explained that the requirement was meant for day one, but due to the sheer number of people trying to play the game and overwhelming Arrowhead unexpectedly, they decided to push back the requirement indefinitely to deal with the important things first. This still makes it a Sony issue, Arrowhead dealt with things the best they could, as well as showed the most sympathy for their player base.

Think most people blamed Sony? Anyways the issue is now over and has now been sorted. Pc gamers won and made Sony backtrack and what they wanted to do. So why is this still a ongoing thing?

It should be obvious. All Arrowhead did was made a game that millions love, Sony showed how irresponsible they are at business. Should be clear who flubbed it.

It so sweet watching the PC Cult throwing another temper tandrum. Just remember when your in the mist of your hissy fit and review bombing Helldivers 2 a couple months after you gave the 8 or a 9 or maybe a 10.....you just remember Sony done got your money and they ain't given it back. Maybe Steam or some other fool will give you a refund but Sony......nope!
