The Playstation move controllers are amazing accurate, but I think Sony may have lost some market share by introducing the Navigation controller.
The actual move controller should be a combonation of the 2. That way the consumer and Developers are not confused about which controller to purchase/develop for.
If the Navigation and The Wand were to combine. The user would only need to buy at most 4 controllers. Instead of AT MOST 6 controllers (2 naviagtion, 4 wands).
Looking at Sony's history it usually takes them 2 controllers cycles to get it right
PS1 Controller -> DualShock
Six Axis -> Dualshock 3
If the developer insist on 2 differnt types of controllers there should be a
1) Wand with Analog and D-Pad and 2 triggers
2) Wand with Analog Stick and X-O-/\-[] buttons and 2 triggers
This way if people really love the wand it can replace the DS3
If Developers are concered about ease of use They should implent Press ANY key to do 1 action. Or make the entire D-pad or Button map a button.
Gives you the potential to steer the core to try some casual games and also allowing the casual to try core games

I knew all of those things. I'll add one that many dont know (if you are a hardware person you do). you CAN actually swap bluray drives between systems. The drives themselves are interchangeable but the board that interfaces is not. So anyone who has a dead optical drive can just get a replacement and swap the interface board and be back to reading discs in no time. I've had to do this myself on both a 20gb B01 as well as a 40gb L01 unit.
you can also replace the spinning hdd with an SSD for improved (not life changing) performance as well as quieter and cooler system reliability. The physical spinning drives draw more current and generate heat as a result. Using an SSD means no moving parts and thus will have less current draw and reduced fan noise from not having to spin as much as usual to offset any heat generated by the spinning hdd.
Still one of my favorite Playstations next to the Playstations that came before it and after it.
Hotly anticipated Celestoidvania, Lucid announces Kickstarter Demo release date. Exciting news for anyone backing the game.
Get your first look at Project T, a brand-new co-op shooter set in the world of Dead by Daylight, and you might be able to play it early.
you can use the dualshock/sixaxis as the navigation controller.
Yeah, but Multiple controller options is a NIGHTMARE for validation.
Motion controller validation is pretty difficult on it's own
Having a single controller simplifies the process. The D-PAD and the standard X-O-/\-[] buttons should map the same. i.e pushing O = pushing ->
yeah.. thats true.. but the controllers may have just too many options... with the motion of fliging it around, then the analog for direction, then the buttons along with trigger.. yeesh.. I do think they need to make a gun controller that has the trigger for your right hand where you grip, the barrell, have an analog stick and 2 button control.
think about it, the move wand is the right side of the pad, you would use it as your right stick when playing through the levels, then when it comes to tracking your arms for a more interactive bit, the developers could just implement you having to hold one of the trigger, simple really.
I had this image flash in my head today and this image consisted of me running through a MP on MW2 dual wielding rangers and I thought: How cool would it be if you could use two seperate moves, one for each gun? Then I realized that if you had two wands you wouldnt be able to navigate the level so that crushed my dream.. I think the author has a point, an analog stick integrated into the wand would allow this to happen but I dont know if Sony has thought about this... I guess time will tell..
