Some Advice To Nintendo. Top 12

People are angry at Nintendo for not "catering to the hardcore audience". I am one of them and well I am satisfyed by Metroid and Brawl, I have some advice for Nintendo. Instead of complaining on forum boards, we could just simply tell them and give them advice. Nintendo! if you are listening try to follow these tips. This is for Nintendo.

12. Stop making games with Wii in the title. I am excited for Wii Sports Resort, but what is next? Wii Cooking? Wii Sports Antartica? Wii Kill? Stop at Wii Sports Resort and make anything else WiiWare games. Come on man!! Wii Music sucks.

11. Make Wii Sports Resort online. Give Wii Sports Resort what 50 dollars pays for. Online mode, a service similar to Smash Service, and put in 20 minigames. I want my money's worth. Wii Sports Resort could be a awesome game, just stop after this.

10. What the heck is your first-party and third-party studios working on?? Retro Studios is a prime example. They could bring back their cancelled titles like NFL Retro Football, Raven Blade, and Car Combat. I would buy them. Especially Raven Blade and Car Combat. Imagine Car Combat, a racing game on the Wii where you drive cars with turrets, machine guns, rocket launchers, and spikes on tires with online play, car customization, DLC, and a T rating. That would be awesome. Put them to work Nintendo!!

9. Bring back Star Fox. There are dozens of games that could be brought back on the Wii. Here is my sub-list.
A. Star Fox
B. F-Zero
C. Rad Racer
D. Contra
E. Pikmin
F. Kid Icarus
G. Mario
H. Zelda
I. Donkey Kong

Come on Nintendo. We want games and we want them NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

8. Limit the terrible developers. Go back to what you did before and limit developers to 5 games a year. That way all the shovelware that Ubisoft puts out will never see the light of day. We would throw flowers on your custodians if you did that.

7. Create a video game engine that pushes the Wii to the limit and give it to all your good developers. They could make beautiful games for you. These games could make the Wii the number 1 console ever.

6. Stop Data Design Interactive!! That studio wants me to watch the Uwe Boll film Far Cry 20 times over. They have zero talent in their jobs. Why did Free Radical Design go bankrupt but they didn't. You must stop them. Action Girlz Racing?? They make terrible games that trash the image of your system. Get rid of them. The only thing worse than there games is being stabbed in the stomach by Uwe Boll in a sleezy bar. Destroy them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5. Drop the casual audience for a year. They usually buy only 2 games a year anyway and they usually only play them for 14 minutes. 2009 is the year of hardcore Wii games anyway, so why not attack the hardcore gamer with dozens of hardcore games.

4. Friend Codes?? Blah!!! Why do you guys use friend codes. You can remove these and still have a safe online service. How about you use a service that says if you and another Wii owner share Wii numbers, then you are automatically friends in every single online game they share. You can use software on the Wii Speak to blur out cuss words and stuff that is offensive. Anything instead of typing in a 16-digit code to join your Mii Parade?? That sucks.

3. Memory Upgrade. Wii owners want to download everything that is around them. But they can't when they run out of memory. So you should add a massive GB memory upgrade. Then developers can create 2 to 3 disc hardcore Wii games.

2. Stop the Shovelware. The casual audience is done with the shopping for games until April 2009. So you should limit the shovelware of developers and encourage them to make something unique. Stop the terrible games from flooding the market (the Naruto games, the cheap minigames, and the games that completely suck, and the licensed games). Get someone to rerelease Black on the Wii. Get Geist, Eternal Darkness, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tommorow, and TimeSplitters 2 to be Wii-made.

1. Make a New Franchise. The Wii's inovative controller is the unique chance to make dozens of new Nintendo franchises. Try something T rated, something unique, and something "WOW"!!!!. That would be awesome. Please do this!!!!!!!! Give me a reason to use the Wii Speak.

All great ideas except I'm not in love with the idea of "remaking" four to five year old games, just throwing motion controls and Wii in the title. I mean, yeah RE4 was a fantastic game on the GC but Nintendo should stop milking previous cataloges for all their worth.

What I think Nintendo should do is do what Sony can't: creat an XBL rival. Look at the PSN. I just bought a PS3 and am dumbstruck by the slow download speeds and the lack of a solid online game. If Nintendo could create a solid online experience, backed by quality friends lists and several fantastic online games then they could probably leapfrog the PS3 (in terms of fun, anyways).

Think about it, if they charged you forty bucks a year, you could weed out the casual Nintendo gamers and have a jolly good time playing the next Smash Bros. or the Conduit online. Yes, I know Nintendo has online already but it's really, REALLY sad.

And good on you for standing by Nintendo.

I agree with you and mr.nintendo.

Nintendo could REALLY dominate whenever they want to if they just start following peoples advice. They have their fanbase, the new casual gamers and hardcore Nintendo fans. Now all they need to do improve. People say Microsoft and Sony need to treat Nintendo as a competitor, but Nintendo doesn't treat them like competitors too. They're lazy being the top of this gen. We have no massive storage for service, still have friendcodes, and there's no way of telling if a firend is on or not. On XBL and PSN you can see which friends are online and even see what they're doing. This feature is not on the Wii. If Nintendo will start packing the Wii with great online and offline features that the HD systems have, they can blow away the competition, and I mean BLOW THE F*** out of them.

2009 is looking good for the hardcore though. But the thing I want most in 2009 is an announced Starfox and F-Zero title. both games have always been beautiful, so just imagine them with updated Wii graphics. The IR pointer would be perfect for Starfox, and F-Zero should have both tilt control and Classic Controller support, withh 32 players online.

Yeah Shoko!!!!!!!

I would love to see F-Zero and Star Fox. The Nintendo memory upgrade I mentioned in a previous article should be a memory upgrade, not a harddrive or SD cards. They should put up a download that boosts the Wii system memory by 20 GB's (that is possible right??). They should increase their downloadable games and get some GOOD third party support. Ubisoft has been sucking with hardcore Wii games lately (Red Steel, Far Cry Vengeance, Brothers in Arms: Double Time). Developers need to step up. Nintendo needs to create much more downloadable games and make games massive. We can help create the Wii 2 and upgrade the Wii. They should have a Achievements system and have large online support to upgrade games (The Conduit Version 1.20?!!). We can make the Wii the must purchase system. Buy The Conduit everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

This is a great list mang! They should definitlety get Rare back. Rare was great gam,e devs but then when they went with MS they started sucking. I mean, wtf?

SinnedNogara5605d ago

If Rare never left, Perfect Dark 2 would be the number 1 FPS game on the Wii. So sad (SNIFFLE!). Banjo would be in Brawl, Killer Instinct 3 would be better than Brawl and the Wii would have sold 50 million by now.
