Aaron Greenberg on Halo: Reach

So let me lead upto it, basically 2 or 3 weeks ago i sent a msg to Aaron Greenberg. After searching online i came across his gamertag BIGVIP so i sent a msg to him through the nxe,  my gamertag is Shbzshar, so  i recieved a msg this morning while i was playing call of duty 4 from interestingly enough BIGVIP.. the original msg that i had sent was :

"Hey mr. greenberg really enjoyed the e3 show and have to say you guys are doing a great job on always keep us guessing. Keep up the good work. Oh and just saw Uncharted 2 and it looks mindblowing. So when are we going to see uncharted 2 or killzone 2 gfx for our 360's sir? "

Yeah, the way Halo ODST looks, they got a long ways to go, i doubt their engine can even get close to matching Killzone 2 or Uncharted

Forbidden Darkness Killzone 2 doesnt even have co-op much less all the multiplayer features/modes Halo does.

Halo is in a different league thanthose run-of-the-mill PS3 games that no one buys.

The one they are using can't. thats why they are building an entirly new one up from scratch. Can't wait for this game.

They're building a new engine for Reach. Every game in the Halo series has had a new engine with the exception of ODST, which uses the Halo 3 engine. (they squeezed even more out of that engine with ODST. It looks better than H3)

EDIT: And I hope your not just screwing with us OP. That wouldn't be cool. I always have my doubts about things like this, but it seems legit. I hope it is.

We have no confirmation that the beta is hitting the exact day ODST comes out. In fact, there's more than a strong possibility that we wont see a beta until spring 2010, though I can see it maybe in the winter of 2009/2010. Just don't expect it day one.

If Bungie had confirmed that, it would be all over Bnet. They have not confirmed for 09. They wouldn't confirm for that reason anyway. The people that want the beta will keep it until it comes out or buy a used copy when the time comes.

Both consoles are of about equal performance, says IBM, the guys who designed both hardwares.

The difference between Sony and Microsoft is how they approach their hardware.

Sony has a lot of first party studios under their belt so they didn't give third party support full priority because they didn't need to. Instead, Sony charged their major first party guys to create engines on the PS3 that would make full use of its capabilities.

Microsoft doesn't have a lot of first party studios and therefore wanted their hardware to be very conventional and easy to work with, thus drawing the attention of all major third party developers. Third Party developers don't use proprietary engines all that much, and whenever they do they always make the engine multiplatform, which means it doesn't make full use of either console's resources in an efficient manner. Case in point, the Unreal Engine 3. The Xbox 360 is capable of a lot more than we have seen.

I was reading somewhere that Bungie and MS knows the engine used in H3
is old so there making a updated one. i don't know if its a rumor or not
but if its true HaloReach will have better graphics, and new and improved features.
