Okay just so you know, I owned a Wii since day 1 and just recently got the Xbox360 but I was interested in getting the PS3 (it was between that and the 360) and I decided against the PS3, for now.
My blog is mostly about the support that PS3 is getting from some of the Devs out there. I am mainly looking at multiplatform games such as GTA 4 and Orange Box to name 2. GTA on the Xbox is getting the LOST AND DAMNED expansion, the PS3 gets nothing. Orange Box got bug fixes and small updates on the 360 and PS3 kinda got shafted by EA, hell it was weird that Valve refused to do it themsleves. Personally I love the games that Valve makes and I still have to get LEFT FOR DEAD probably for the Xbox. I have Orange box on the PC because i found it was so much better then PS3 and Xbox (I love TF2). Another game that seems to be left out of the PS3 train is FALLOUT3. I was watching XPLAY and it was mentioned that the PC and 360 are getting a new expansion but nothing in the news for the PS3.
Also when it comes to timed Exclusives, it seems that the 360 gets them all. If Left For Dead was a timed exclusive then it shows my point exactly. I don't see many games that are available on the PS3 before the Xbox. I do want to be proven wrong but it seems like the Xbox is doing much better in terms of supporting their gamers, Sure you pay for LIVE service but it is phenomenal, even i was surprised how good it was and i was very skeptical. The fact i can CHOOSE to instal games to harddive also makes it that much better since i don't have to do mandatory instals. I did instal a few games to make the load time faster and 1 game cause the DVD was a bit scratched and that solved that problem.
So can anyone tell me whats up with this? how come the PS3 has less love then the 360 even though they are equals for the most part, each doing somethings better then the other but pretty much on par with each other when it comes to gaming. So why do people that own the PS3 have to wait for games, why do they not get the add-on content? why so little love?

From what I see on Reddit, a lot of fans also hate him... it is just a guy that like the stir shits up, it is not good for both the Arrowheads and the fans.

I was hoping for something different from Coalition, not Gears 6 so soon.
Their expertise in UE development could've propelled them to try out other IPs using the new UE5.
But guess, given recent MS' state, Gears 6 was the 'safer' call for the studio. But still hope they venture other IPs or even other genres ... at least FPSs in future?
Microsoft seems only interested in maximizing profits through its biggest IPs at this point.
So soon? Its been 5 years since Gears 5, longest gap between games in the franchise.
Why would people be less angry? If MS made it's own games instead of buying up what was already available then we wouldn't be in the situation that everyone is angry at.

There are many factors why the ps3 doesnt get the "love".
One may be the difficulty developing for it, it takes more resources which means more money, and third party developers lack the budget etc etc. Theres also some conspiracy regarding microsoft paying for these timed exclusives and exclusive dlc, who knows. But if you bypass the oh so little hate you realize that theres so much more to the ps3 than 360(imo). You may argue that the 360 may have better games, better online, better graphics bla bla bla, but that all depends on the user. I would get into more detail but it requires time which I need.
I wont own a wii cause it doesnt have games that interest me (personal preference) I dont own a 360 cause of the RRODs and other hardware failures that it has and almost all of its games i already have on my PC so i bought a PS3 cause i have a theater system, plus the build screams of hi tech polish with all the tech from wifi, bluray, blutooth and hd readiness. Look at the PS3's 2009 exclusive game list plus multiplats and you already have a ton of games to look forward to this year. I wont persuade you to buy one if its not up your alley.

Second if you want my opinion... The PS3 has real exclusives. i.e. Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, KZ2, Ratchet and Clank, Resistance, God of war, Infamous... I had a 360 if you read my blog and I sold it to update my PC. It makes more sense to me. I can get steam and play bioshock(Now multiplat), Left 4 dead or gears and I'm still waiting for the announcement here soon for gears 2 and fable 2(Both the others were on PC) not that I am a fan of gears but Fable I might give a shot... Also now My GF can play spore and sims 3 here soon and I can play diablo 3 when it comes out...
Edit 2: Why does the PS3 have less love? Thats easy... Price. most polls taken prior to xmas said people on average wanted a PS3 in their top 3 gifts for xmas. It was a TV, PS3 or a Wii usually. Price is holding it back but once again if you read my blog maybe you will agree that you get what you pay for.
Why so little love otherwise... MS has deep pockets and the truth is they need them because like I mentioned above they don't have any true exclusives like sony does. Sony has a real line up and real exclusives that are very very good... MS has a bunch of PC downgrades that are pay to play on a day care filled network... They need something and they know it so they buy DLC... Either way I would not buy the DLC for GTA or Fallout simply because it feels like a huge waste to me... The games are stale by the time the DLC comes around and i don't care much for that junk...

Even the DLC for games like fallout 3 will be coming to PC... Also they are cheaper to buy on PC... All in all it's a better deal and you can hook up a 360 or ps3 controller if you like... They look much better as well ala L4D(Mods anyone?)
IMHO there is really no reason to buy a 360 unless your friends have it and you want to play with them... I hated the live experience... All I heard was swearing and crying and cussing galore... So really if the 360 was your first choice I don't know why... For that price you could get an upgraded PC and have free online play with the same games, better graphics, cheaper games and all the rest...
Edit: As far as your comments on Multiplat... PC is better then both. As far as timed... I guess I have plenty of games to keep me occupied for the time being but still if they are timed usually they come to PC and are cheaper anyway...
Once again I have less slowdown and hicups on PSN then I did live. Live was down for way longer the PSN overall last year alone as well as having dedicated servers over PSN and not live... Seriously dude that is support and major support at that...
If the hard drive is really that big a deal then I'm sorry it's so bad... I bought a 200 gig hard drive for cheaper then the lowest cost(New) 360 hard drive I can find online... It's nowhere near full and when a game loads up I go to the toilet and grab a drink and sitdown and it's ready to play.... It's really not that bad and a stupid arguing point.

Bottom line, ps2 is still selling...YEARS LATER!! The Playstation 3 will do the same, rather people like it or not. As soon as Killzone 2 comes out and the ps3 price drops to $299 (spring).....we will see what's up. Better product equals a higher price tag. If you want RROD, Halo 4, Gears 3, then get a 360. Killzone 2 is killing these franchises....along with blu-ray and other outstanding ps3 exclusives will flush 360 down the toliet. (Where it belongs)

Yea, there are more 360's out there, but at what cost? MS is not running their gums on who may were sent back to them for repair, are they? The MILLIONS lost on warrenties, bad buys (gta4 DLC and Rare) and no blu ray shoudl be a factor in love for a system too. I don't want to hear about blu-ray players vs. Ps3 systems or blu-ray slaes either! Check the numbers on all the blockbuster blu-ray sales of 2008. It doesn't matter what you play blu-rays on, the cheap 360 DOES NOT HAVE ONE. (There is NO patten either....ANYONE can make a player. MS doesn't want to because they know that no idiot will pay extra on 360 over a quality ps3.
