Would You Like A Bigger Shovel Cliffy?

Okay I don't normally write blog post's like this but there is something that keeps popping up on N4G that is really starting to bug me, and that's all the news about Cliffy B. Normally I'm all for people having their own opinions but this is just getting plain annoying. Cliffy B keeps popping up in today's hottest saying something bad about the Playstation. I don't care if he prefers the Xbox over the Playstation but all he is doing is setting himself up for a fall.

Let's look at some of his comments. "People like to think I'm all up Microsoft's ass..." Gee I wonder why?

Well That's like what 7 articles where Cliffy B is criticizing either The Ps3 or criticizing it's games. I wonder why people think you're up Microsoft's ass.

"I have my number of issues with it and even, fundamentally, the PlayStation branding when they named the buttons square, triangle, it's like putting Kanji on the f--ing thing."

Really is [], X, 0, and ^ to difficult for your mind? What's so much different between Square and A? Nothing. They're symbols. One flashes on the screen and we press the same matching one on the controller. There is no reading involved.

"People like to think I'm all up Microsoft's ass...Bulletstorm is out on PlayStation." Congratulations, what did you want a cookie? Just cause you released one game on a console doesn't mean you're any less up Microsoft's ass. Besides EA was the publisher. They probably made you publish it on PS3 as well.

Let me give you a little advice. Stop digging yourself into a hole. Remember Valve? Yea they hated the PS3 with a passion too. They were very outspoken in their hate towards the system. But then they really started working with Sony and their entire views changed. Do you remember how much ass kissing and apologizing they did?

So Cliffy, how does it feel to be one of the most outspoken developer around? Are you going to stop digging your self a hole? Or would you like to get a bigger shovel?

UPDATE: I would like to say that I do respect Cliffy B as a developer, I am just tired of his constant bashing on the PS3 and am even more Tired of his name constantly appearing in the "DAYS HOTTEST".

Yeah, if Cliffy was in any way neutral he would also be calling missteps on the 360 like Too Human or Alan Wake. Instead you only hear him complaining about PS3 titles like Heavy Rain which are getting alot of recognition.

And when the heck has he made a game which had kids in it? That's hat really makes him come off poorly: being a game designer who criticizes features and aspects in other games which he's either never done or been know for doing well.

You got to know that, the tool Cliffy B. is reading this blog post - I mean, the dude lives on this site "feeding off hate". Is that what all these kids say these days?
Lame excuse for getting a hand up the rear.

Like I said, Cliffy B. is NO David Jaffe.

Must you post sh*t about this guy whether good or bad? I'm tired of seeing his face. Is he making a new game that he has just revealed? No!!! So stop bringing him up! Geez, people are so f&cking pathetic!!!

... Looks like your issue is the number of articles themselves.

Lots of devs talk crap, it's just that no-one goes around making an article about each single comment.

Seems those articles are getting to ya, and that's probably what whoever submits/approves all those articles wants to begin with.

That, and I bet if Cliff read this blog, he'd be having a big grin on his face. So Fishin' Accomplished.

Musashi vs Cthulhu review - Games Asylum

Games Asylum: "There’s a demand on the digital services for inexpensive games; something cheap and cheerful to brighten a dull afternoon that could potentially be bought with leftover credit. With both limited budget and resources in mind, it pays for the developers of these smaller titles (Musashi vs Cthulhu costs just over £4, incidentally) to keep things simple and focused. There’s joy to be had in simplicity if it’s done well, and it’s up to developers to capitalise on this. Nobody expects a colossal, cinematic, RPG for under a fiver. Something simple that’s refined and fun to play? An entirely reasonable expectation to have. Problem is, low budget games can feel…low budget."
