Judging the title alone, I just know I am going to get a thousand comments saying things like “The PS3 is 5 year old hardware, you cant compare it to the PC.” First off, I am not judging graphics, nore do I care if your PC games has more lighting particles and higher res textures, I still have many valid reasons that PlayStation games surpass the PC.
One of the main things seen in a lot of PlayStation exclusives is the sheer size of the games. The PC offers nothing close to the scale of games like God of War 3, Gran Turismo 5, and LittleBigPlanet. The developers of PS3 have managed to create massive games that we simple don’t see on the PC. There is not a single PC game with boss fights as big as the titans in GOW3, 1000 cars, or 2 million levels. This is hugely influenced by the developers, and what they have been able to do with the hardware. The extra space of Blu-Ray adds a lot more room to work with that the PC simply does not have, thanks to the fact no one wants to install a 50gb game.
Sony’s first party is outstanding at what they do, with nearly every first party game being critically acclaimed. They push out amazing games that equal or surpass the PC’s offerings. Not many PC games can hold the title of GOTY. Sony’s track record of first party games is also heavily influenced by how they collaborate, sharing technologies and ideas between each over, which is simply not seen between PC developers.
Funding is also a huge factor in creating a games, and Sony’s studios get plenty of it. Not many PC games (Unless developed by Blizzard) have as much polish as games like Gran Turismo 5, or Uncharted. The PC also features a lot of bad games, much more than the consoles because of how easy it is to get a game out on the PC market. Actually, the PS3’s difficulty to develop for makes for overall better games, because developers are forced to learn the hardware before they can even start development. Sony also requires approval before the release, where as on the PC any game can hit the market, no matter how bad it is.
Creativity is also much higher on the PlayStation brand, with many more games pushing the boundaries of our imaginations. There is no alternative to the creation abilities of ModNation Racers and LittleBigPlanet on the PC. This genre has proven successful on consoles, and will remain strong for Sony.
Now before all the PC fanboys start posting screen shots bragging about graphics, I need to get this out of the way. PS3 games look plenty good, run in 720p, @30fps constant on 4 year old hardware. I think it does a pretty good job, and the games look plenty good for me to have fun. Overall PS3 games are simply higher quality, and offer more than the PC.
EA has announced it will engage in a shareholder-pleasing share buyback program just a couple of months after mass layoffs at the studio.
Well, anything to make those shareholders happy, I guess. They're all that matters in this industry nowadays.
Composers Elben Schutte and Daniel Caleb from Pressure Cooker have written a medieval-flavored score for the new sim Manor Lords.
Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson stated in a recent EA Earnings Call, that the next Battlefield "it is going to be another tremendous live service.”
Another? ANOTHER?
Is he honestly trying to make out like the last Battlefield was a huge success, not just as a game but as a live service game? I'm sure these guys live in their own echo chambers, they are so far removed from reality or they just like talking out of their arse trying to rewrite history.
Also why say such a tone deaf statement when you know the state of live service games at the minute and how many gamers feel about them. Bigging up the next BF game as live service does not give me any excitement or hype.
"Blu-Ray adds a lot more room to work with that the PC simply does not have, thanks to the fact no one wants to install a 50gb game."
No game uses that much except for games like MGS4 which just fills up the space with tonnes of lossless video and audio, not actual game content.
PC has no space limits due to the fact DD has taken over and everyone has massive HDD's. I have 1.5TB atm, do you think I care about a 50GB game?

Half Life
Starcraft
Fallout
Elder Scrolls
Doom
Also all of the above have been highly modded.
Counter strike = Came from a mod
Killing Floor = the same
Any ps3 games that came from a community and took the world by storm??
"or 2 million levels."
numbers =/= good. I could go on LBP and make a level shaped like a dick and it would count. Numbers don't = quality.
"The PC also features a lot of bad games, much more than the consoles because of how easy it is to get a game out on the PC market. "
That doesn't make the platform worse or make the best game any less good. You don't have to play those games.
"Creativity is also much higher on the PlayStation brand, with many more games pushing the boundaries of our imaginations. "
Look at steam indie section.

A tonne of ps3 games run at sub hd but are upscaled.
PC can do 2400P, 8x AA, 16x MSAA running at solid 60FPS or higher. Throw in 3D for any game if you want. Can the ps3 be connected to 6 tvs at 1 time??
There is no alternative to the creation abilities of ModNation Racers and LittleBigPlanet on the PC.
Yes trackmania nations forever for racing, and tonnes of pc games are released with SDKs so you can make an entire game of you wanted to. I could go on epics site now and get the Unreal SDK and make a game or a map or a mod and I wouldn't have to be stuck with 1 game like on ps3.
"Actually, the PS3’s difficulty to develop for makes for overall better games, because developers are forced to learn the hardware before they can even start development."
Thats a completely BS point and you know it.
"There is not a single PC game with boss fights as big as the titans in GOW3"
Have you ever played Serious Sam???
Now for some questions
If a ps3 game ever doesnt work, can you troubleshoot and fix it yourself?? No you have to wait for patches, can't get fan made patches.
Does PS3 have backwards compatability for all games??
I hope you realise what a stupid, uninformed fool you are. You have no idea whats on PC but you think you know everything about it.
Obvious Troll is Obvious

Comeback when PS3 has real toolsets for creating a whole new dimension to play a game... Not just a generic linear levels... Thats where creativity lies.
Also nobody bought ModNation Racers in the first place so how can it be proven successful.
LOL bro you might want to do a little research before you talk smack about something. Sheer size of games? So you're basically ignoring the thousands upon thousands of gigabytes of mods and community created content? I can tell you've never touched PC gaming in your life. iRacing, rFactor, GTR2, these simulations put GT5 to shame when it comes to content. That's what happens when you have an open and moddable platform. The amount of content in Modnation Racer's doesn't come close to Trackmania. LBP isn't even true modding.
Space isn't really an issue, I can get a 500GB drive for $50. Right now I have 2TB of space in my computer with room for 2 more HDDs. What was that you were saying about space?
GOTY, that popularity contest gamers go crazy for. It's all publicity. Game of the year means nothing, but if you want to go there then I can pull out the Half Life 2 card. The only console game to get anywhere NEAR the amount of praise HL2 got is Uncharted 2, and it took devs 6 years to make a game of that magnitude. But I give credit where it's due, Uncharted is a spectacle to behold for consoles. It really proves that those little plastic lunchboxes really can do something when developed properly.
Creativity? I can get 50 games for $50, with all of them having more creativity than any big name console game. Indie games is where the innovation is and guess what, the indie scene is thriving on PC. But I know you wouldn't know that since you don't have a clue what you're talking about.
What I suggest is that you at least finish high school and get a job so you can pay for your own shit instead of feeding off your parent's money. That way you can be a multiplatform owner like I am and enjoy all games. But don't start talking shit about things you know nothing of, just go crawl back to your toolshed.
Do this with LBP.
