Were should Call of Duty 7 take place?

Rumor has it that COD7 is going to be in Vietnam, i however doubt that since most of the weapons and technology we used in Vietnam are stilled used today so it would turn it into a Modern Warfare clone. So here are some of the major wars that COD7 could be based off of in my opinion.

Revolutionary War (1775-1783)
Proposed Title: Call of Duty: Guns of the Patriots (lol)
Combatants: America and France VS Brittain and Hessia (Germany)
Guns: Flintlock Rifle- 1 Shot per minute.

Pros of it being in the Revoultion:
America's first war, there was no draft or anything so the people who all went to war answered "The Call of Duty". Although the guns sucked back then the game could develop a good melee combat system since that was what was used once your shot was fired, bayonets, gun barrels, etc.

Cons: Bad guns.

The Civil War (1861-1865)
Call of Duty: Killer Angels
Combatants: The Union (The North) VS The Confederates (South)
Guns: Musket- 2 shots per minute, Six Shot Revolvers, gatlting guns.

Pros: One of the most well known wars. People can actually relate to the locations of the battles since it was fought entirely in the US.

Cons: Guns still very slow and it wouldn't be a fun game since warfare was basically stand in formation and shoot at each other.

The Spanish American War (1898-1899)
Call of Duty: Heart's War
Combatants: America VS Spain
Guns: One shot bolt action rifles (40 shots per minute), six shot revolvers, machine guns.

Pros: The guns are acceptable (think of the Springfield Rifle from World at War as being the most high tech gun in the game) The war is not so well known so it could enlighten people.

Cons: It was such a short war. And since COD usually has two campaigns this one would not have a second campaign since playing as the Spanish would be boring since it would be the same battles except from the other side of the field. One possibility is to include wars with Native Americans in this one or possible stretch it to the Mexican Intervention, which took place a few years later.

World War I (1917-1918)
Call of Duty: Trench Warfare
Combatants: US, Canada, Brittan and France VS Germany, Austria and The Ottoman Empire.
Guns: Multishot guns like the Springfield, Arisaka, Kar98k, etc. Machine guns such as The Thompson and DP were used as well.

Pros: The second WW gets so much more attention than the first one which is surprising since the first one was a real turning point in the world's history. A Western and Eastern Front campaign could exist so no multi campaign issue could come up.

Cons: Trench Warfare would be boring to some people who like to run and gun through levels. Online would be a challenge to do since it would get boring just shooting each other from trench to trench.

The Korean War (1949-1951)
Call of Duty: The Forgotten War
Guns: Same as WWII (M1 Garand, BAR, etc.)

Pros: It would be a nice change from WWII but it would not be a drastic change.

Cons: Too much of the same as World at War.

So those are some of the major wars in American history, leave a comment saying which you think would suit Call of Duty best.

Well they need to make cod 5 first before they get to 7.

Other than that I would like to see the cold war done.

I wouldn't want to see a Cold War war-FPS specifically, because there were no actual USA/USSR battles during the Cold War. It was just really close to happening though.

Call of Duty: The Boxers

Just kidding. Personally I think they should finish WWII first. Or just skip to Vietnam or something.

Yeah it would have mattered especially since their huge game that year wasn't all that it was cracked up to be remember redfail was almost heavily promoted and hyped not to the level of starfield but still more promoted than the average game.

There was still a decent marketing campaign behind the game I'm sure millions were spent advertising it on websites and I saw a few billboards and bus stop signs in real life

No it wouldn’t matter it wouldn’t bring in enough profit to offset their 100 billion dollar acquisition. It would maybe delay the inevitable by some months.
