It sounded cool...
until they got all Sci-Fi. Red shoots growing everywhere and mutating animals is like a lame 80s sci-fi horror movie. If it was realistic - like Day after Tomorrow that might be cool. Every other game in the world is about the end of the world and this one sounds just as generic. View

This is a good time to sign for something like this, because Brown said he'd restore people's faith in democracy. Let's see him listen to us and restore our faith in the system! View

Noooooooo!
For God's sake, just give us (UK) the U.S. version - we speak the same language! I don't want to wait 2 months extra just because I'm from the same continent as some Frenchies who need the game translating for them!
Also, I hate the way the UK is tagged onto the EU. We're not even in the bloody European Union for gods sake!

Ever think...
Ever think that there was no mention of video games perhaps because the likes of Jack Thompson and LaRouche have no conclusive evidence to support that wild claim? View

Crap
Noooo! Wait a sec, they need the money to maintain servers and add new maps and stuff? Every other game in the world does that and the publishers don't use in game ads to fund that - it's just a poor excuse to grab some extra cash. I guess the term "nothing is free" is slowly infecting the games industry. View

Is it just me...
or does the gameplay of this RTS seem as generic as anything else? I mean, where are the innovations; where's the cover system, where are all those new ideas that a game this big should have? Even the look of some of the units are taken almost directly from the W40K and UT07 series. It looks to be a good RTS but nothing too special. I don't understand why it's being as hyped as WoW.
Just my two cents. View

ya
Chewbacca is a Wookie from the planet Kashyyyk, but Chewbacca… LIVES …on the planet Endor. Now think about that. That does NOT MAKE SENSE.

What doesn't make sense is why my 360 broke just after 1 year of having it. View

Yeah that's what I', thinking - where's the official source? Last time I checked, the official Crysis site (not the EA one. crysis-game.com) wasn't even up, so it's hard to believe that this is official. :( View

Good point KewlKat
But it's the fact that online PC gaming has been free practically since it's birth. With the introduction of Live, you can still play online for free, but you have to pay the £40 a year for a simple quickplay button in Shadowrun and Halo 2. It's that kind of thing which bugs me. There's no reason anyone should have to pay for that, seeing as devs have included that in the game for aeons without going "uhhh yeah you have to pay coz' like it was effort". Paying for something which has always been free is just not right and fair. MS would argue that it can be justified because PC and 360 players can now play against one another... who gives a hoot?? Console gaming and PC gaming have been fine being separate for the last 2 generations, and infact whenever I go on XBL all I get is either kids of jackasses swearing all the time - yeah like I want to be able to play against those people. All this is is another money pit.
Btw, nice name, KewlKat! View

Not forgetting
Plus £40 a year for XBL. People say that isn't a lot, but times that by 5 to 10 years and that's 5-10 games you could have bought, so basically you're losing a game a year for a service which is shockingly free on every other platform. It won't be every platform for long now though as MS have decided you have to pay to get basic online features on PC games thanks to games for Windows Live. Just another way MS are screwing things up in the name of their wallets :) View

It's not nothing to do with money, it's to do with mutual respect. Obviously that's lacking. Say a company made a replica of a dead relatives' grave which people could then go in and blow to smithereens; people wouldn't be too pleased at the lack of respect going on there. Just because the Church is an organisation to do with religion doesn't diminish the need for respect, just because Church-goers are apparently "retarded". Suing may be a little over the top, yes, but you have to remember if Sony had used correct practice and sense and gone and got permission to use such a location in a game then this issue would never have arisen. He has a point in that it would be courteous to ask permission to use a holy building as a setting for a violent videogame. I'm also not surprised by how some of the people here would just shrug the notion of courtesy and thoughtfulness off and complain about the Church and the government being in the wrong when the multi-billion dollar corporation thought they were too important to have to get permission. If it wasn't for the Mobo warping then this wouldn't happen; it's a design fault, not a cooling problem. View

Lol that's rubbish
There isn't resentment to games for WIndows because of the so-called 'high-standards' (I mean if Microsoft's backwards compatibility was of the a higher standard then we might actually be able to play some XP games on it), it's because that you have to pay for features that have been free for ages. Yes, playing online is free with a Silver account, but you have to pay $4 a month to get a quick-match button in Shadowrun and Halo2?? That's just pathetic. Online gaming has been fine before this centralised money-pit called Games for Windows Live was introduced. I don't want to play against 360 players - half of the users on Live are either kids or idiots who just swear down their mics (I know from 360 experience) and I don't want that ruining PC gaming. Make it free and at least as good as Xfire or Steam and maybe it'll make it; but the truth is, no PC gamer wants the hassle of having of having to pay to play.

Oh, and I haven't even tried PSN so don't go calling me a Sony fanboy, I own a 360 and a PC and there are stark differences between both communities, and bringing them together is only going to create problems. View

Lalala
Lalalala oo hello look at me, I a human being. You know what human beings can do? They can MAKE THEIR OWN FRIGGIN' CHOICES IN LIFE!! So, being a human being, I have this thing called 'KNOWING WHEN YOU'RE JUST PLAYING A F***ING GAME YOU MORON!', and what this allows me to do is realise that perhaps killing someone in real life might have more consequences than just pretending to kill someone in a game. Also, being a human being,I have this very special thing called 'FREE-WILL YOU JACKASS!', and this lets me decide if I want to play games that simulate murdering some one. It also lets me decide if I want to kill someone in real life, but, because I'm not a retarded gimp, I think I'll just stick with the games. I think maybe most people in the world will do the same thing, because the majority of the world's population aren't retarded gimps... except those lawyers who live in Florida. View
