well we get the METRO in Toronto too and i know a few more cities get it.. all with local news so each one is different but they are all free and ad driven..

but even skimming it i'm sure a few people saw the star rating.. and remember.. its okay.. its just 1 review.. a person that is unsure about the game will probably go to other sources for more info and this newspaper gives movies that are great bad scores too.. it happens.. i guess its all about the person reviewing it.

and I remember when some crappy website gave MARIO GALAXY a low score and everyone was talking about it here.. all the PS3 and 360 fanboys saying how finally the truth has come out and some BS.. well i'll tell you, its definitly not true if 1 reviewer doesn't like it.. its still a great game (MGS4 and GALAXY) and next week nobody will even mention this. i believe good sir that SNES was ABXY and that was when SEGA still had the ABC controller.. later on the released the ABCXYZ pad.. also the SNES had the L and R

also for me the SONY controller has made my hands cramp since day 1 and i played with the original PSX controllers that had no sticks or rumble..

when the sticks were added then new problems came.. i never felt confortable using the analog sticks and always used the D pad when possible.. cause it was so much easier..

i don't know why anyone hasn't said this but the GAMECUBE controller was awsome (i hated the N64 controller) but the GC was pretty sweet, the D pad was a bit small but 2 analog sticks and really good triggers.. hell.. after playing PAPER MARIO for like 6 hours straight on the GC i was amazed that my hands weren't cramping..

i don't play much with the 360 but i find it just fine.. and the ps3 controller is good for a few hours then my hands need a break.. the wii controls are awsome.. cause i can lay there however, no need to keep my hands a set distance apart.. which is nice.. and WII has the best motion controlls hands down.. the KONAMI ID system is a JOKE! i don't like MGS (personally never got into it) but MGO comes with MGS4.. its PART OF THE PACKAGE.. is it not? so to use it you need the KONAMI ID..

last gen the PS2 was the weakest console in terms of power but it was also a fairly cheap DVD player.. and that helped a lot..

I don't think the 360 will just die but slowly it will see teh numbers decline as PS3 numbers rise due to EU and JAPAN... in North America there will always be a real presence of 360..

the wii is not a FAD.. i have never seen a fad last 2 years straight.. Fads are something that comes and goes in a few months.. like the YO YO coming back or Bell Bottoms coming back.. the wii simply has staying power.. it has a Large causual market yes but thats only because Nintendo knew they needed to tap into a new market.. they did it before and will do it again.. They may be casual now but a year or 2 down the line they will be more likely to play some hardcore games. I mean my girlfriend is a casual gamer but she can't wait to play Alone In the Dark for the wii... and the fact that the attach rate is higher for the WII the the ps3 is a good sign its not a fad.

it may not appeal to a lot of Hardcore gamers.. i mean when i got it launch day i expected something that looked better (red steel vids were so touched up it kinda sucked when i actually saw it) and then there was the draught.. but then the games got better and better.. i'm playing 7 games plus wii-ware on rotation.. i may not be the norm but a lot of people i know (does not mean anything) play the wii.. its the adults that don't, anyone that likes games is always playing it..

the price on the wii is why i bought it.. 600 for a console is too much.. 250 is just right (was 275 in canada) and the games being cheeper is plus too..

i love my wii and wish i could afford the rest but they are all here to stay.. so enjoy em people.. it will be fun. View

i wouldn't mind MMOs on console.. the keyboard th8ing can be worked around for sure.. and so can the rest..

though funny thing about CERTIFICATION, apparently Nintendo forgot about that this generation.. (lol) i own a WII and FARCRY so i can say that.. worst game ever.

I'm sure we will see MMOs pop up on console or something very close.. but PC is the preferred platform for now and it will stay like that i'm sure of it..

as for fees, I don't like them 1 bit.. the reason i purchased Guildwars was because its free online.. and its awsome..

the reason i play on hacked servers for WOW is because i don't play enough to justify the monthly fee. I am playing my wii more then my PC now.. my bro plays WOW a lot but that does not warrant the fees in my opinion.. i have friends that are ADDICTED and i see why they pay.. but not in my house.. i did look it up and now i remember seeing those and i wondered how to create em.. so this game was in development before the wii was released to the public.. thats for sure..

though i don't think thats an indication of anything that special.. to be honest Mario Kart wii has racing themed stuff on the message board..

so this is probably something that the game send you once you have done something.. but then again it could be that if you install the ANIMAL CROSSING CHANNEL the game continues without you.. and if nintendo wants to send you something cool.. they send you a message and you can pick it up ingame..

though these CHANNELS are killing the space.. i deleted my MARIO KART channel.. just to free up the space.. i can use the ingame channel for everything.. though i wish i would get messages on my board about tournaments.. ever since i deleted the channel the messages stopped so its kinda a bummer..

if this will have an online community and you can visit stranger's towns then it will be awsome.. if its all friend codes then it will suck a bit.. or a lot..
