well banning consoles will only get them so far and it is smart that they didn't ban accounts because you can use your account on ANY xbox so if you happen to use a banned one and its not even yours then they would have problems (MS would for sure and there would be a outcry because people can play the, I didn't know my friend's XBOX was hacked card) but bottom line, give it a few months and we will be cruising on new firmware for the DVD drives that won't get banned though there will always be a possibility of getting banned because MS does have DISK tests, and thats really how they found everyone. The Drive was giving the responses at a time which was out of the normal range so a few milliseconds screwed us all. So now i am sure MS will sell a few more consoles, and make a few million as well as make the install base seem larger but in the end the companies that get hurt (the DEVS) will not benifit at all.

I mean you really don't miss LIVE until it is GONE, lucky i have 2 xboxs at home so it matters not to me because i can always get on LIVE and still play COD4 like crazy.

so in a months or so when the new firmware comes out MS will surely be looking for a new way to ban people, i mean they can download and hack their own xboxs and reverse engineer the hack to ban people again (i'm sure thats what they did this time) but its a timely process since the last custom firmware was unbanned for a good 2 to 3 years (depending on your DVD drive it can be longer)

but also a lot of people don't care if they are banned, i have friends that didn't mod their consoles but never went online anyways because they did not care for live, not even SILVER. So this ban only affects the LIVE lovers, anyone else will be fine with it and this will not affect them at all, the games work fine offline and to be honest the xbox without online is still better online then the WII... I own the wii and i owned it b4 the xbox and the only games that had ok online was STRIKERS and MARIO KART, everything else was a FAIL. View

honestly, half the fun of that game was playing it with the wii remote. the masterbating motion was funny but the special movies were so well done and made you feel like u were a lil closer to Travis. Also when you get near the end (i played through it 2x) u get unlimited power on your beam katana and a $h!t-ton of moves that are badass.

i just hope they added to the overworld because it was the part that was lacking most and no matter what anyone says, its a badass story and kickass all the way through View

from my understanding on the reading, there is no way to UNBAN the xbox, but there is a new firmware for the dvd drive on the way which will make detecting the hack almost impossible. The old version had time delays which MS could pick up on (i mean a few seconds but it was enough of an offset) and these they could pick up on, even if you were playing legit games because the drive was doing the responses for authentication and not the game itself. So now they took those delays out but the games can still get the console banned if they are not coded correctly.

and the reason they only banned the xboxs and not the LIVE accounts is because i can go to my friend's house and recover my gamertag on his xbox and if it happens to be modded then they would have to ban my account even though i have a unmodded xbox. so i guess they went ahead and just banned the xboxs, instead of the accounts too because there would be no point to ban 1 million xboxes and lets say 1.5 million accounts because that would make a lot of pissed off people just because they signed in on a banned xbox when they went to a friend's place so they could recieve gamerscore for playing co-op View

i'm glad i'm in canada, an ambulance ride here is like $90, and the rest is paid by the government and my work has benifits too so they pay the $90. i don't understand why some americans are against universal healthcare, yes the taxes go up a bit but when you get sick you don't worry about how much it will cost you or if you can even afford to see the dr. I just go.. recently my dad spent about 3 to 4 months in the hospital and when he came out they sent a nurse out and gave him all the supplies he needed for in home care. i don't think we paid a penny for anything and he was in intensive care for a good majority of the time with a nurse watching him 24/7 View

I wish they would have kinda made more indication when GTA4 came out. I mean i have the 360 and LOVE LOST and DAMNED and GAY TONY but when GTA4 came out and they announced DLC they did not mention all this extra stuff they would be adding. I mean its more and more fun with every expansion though i really got tired of the BROTHER thing in lost and damned.

And it sucks that you don't get to play it but sometimes its like the cookie crumbles, the PC version does have a few good mods though however getting the game to run nice can be a chore and the PS3 version has non of that... so as this DLC is really ramping it up. Hopefully there is more DLC that will be multi-plat because i understand MS paid for 2 exclusives.

also when DLC was announced teh SONY people said they didn't care and that the game sucked and that it was just wasted money.. but now that they are actually out and they are GOOD, everyone wants to play them, which i knew would be the case anyhow because personally i think they have a good engine for the game and grand theft auto always has a good story backing it (in my opinion) View

well it is a large scale release. the discs you are buying weren't printed yesterday you know that right? so the new DLC is probably stuff they were working on after they started to print the discs. They don't take breaks, they just work, they know they gatta get cracking on the DLC so they can keep their jobs.

So be mad all you want but all you are doing is looking like an 8 year old child, its business and its gonna be an awsome game, they use the guitar too so you can play with a friend. The DLC is just a good sign, i mean i wouldn't wanna wait months before something was available.

though TONY HAWK RIDE.. that one i am sketch about, i know i will want to play DJ HERO 2 but i can only play so many TONY games. I mean after THPS2 i was done and i mean i got 100% with everyone including kid Tony and Spiderman lol.. View

zak and wiki was kinda meh once you finish it there is no replay.. paper mario was boring, geometry wars was fun, boom blox was okay though lost its charm after a lil bit, and Madworld looked awsome but i got bored after 30 mins of gameplay.

there is 2 games on my wii that i love.. SMASH BROS, and NO MORE HEROES.. Travis Touchdown is da sh!t.

also mario galaxy was fun.. though playing as Luigi is a bit hard. View

they should better test their updates, i mean how do you brick a wii, there is like nothing to the system.. after the SD card update there is no real point..

also i don't know about softmodding much.. but hardware mod (from what i read) is undetectable. all it does is give a forced reply to the system that the game is legit.. i mean if they changed the checking then all the old games would stop working and brick the wiis.

and yeah.. the only time my wii has been on is for GUITAR HERO (i wanna buy it on XBOX) and SMASH BROS.. otherwise its all XBOX View

i could have sworn that they took out the port that lets you plug i into a TV and changed it to something else. i heard that there was another connection but that the cables from PSP-1000 to PSP-3000 will not work..

and make sure you get the COMPOSITE.. the YELLOW, RED, WHITE do not let you play games cause they cant do widescreen for some reason.. View

the only thing that i would say should take away from this pricetag is that there is no matchmaking for firefight which is kinda dumb. (i don't own it but if its true then to me its useless)

i have a few people on my friend's list but it hard to get everyone together.. in gears 2 i love the matchmaking for HORDE.. if its a good team we play for 2 to 3 hours straight.. a bad team then we quit out when we all die.. simple as that.. but i guess with 7 lives it can lead to some bad feedback if you suck at shooters lol View

he was saying simulation wise as in car physics and driving physics, it is the best around. now i do not know that for sure but thats what he is saying, nothing about GRAPHICS..

i mean think about it.. MILITARY simulators do not have spectacular graphics but the do deliver the goods on physics and the way the vehicle reacts, so here he is saying they are very close to making a car sim.. so if you have pedals and the wheel then you are technically driving.. which i think is pretty cool,

well i love my iPhone but yeah the games are lacking..

the lack of buttons for a wide variety of games kills it though TETRIS is still fun on the iPhone though when it gets a lil fast its difficult mainly because you can't move a piece while rotating.

but some games are AWSOME, i am loving SPIDER: The Secret of Bryce Manor because the controls are so good, great $2.99 game. I have tried CIV REVELUTION LITE and the controls were well done but then the battery life is next to nothing with that game and you have to play plugged in though its fun and pretty, i love CIV games, my fave still is the oldschool CIV2, that can be installed completely to run with no CD, it has no DRM, oldschool!...(with the advisors being live action cheese!)

but the rest of the games i tried, well they are the same thing over and over, either i am tilting to make something go left and right, or tapping to pop something or make it bounce. Basically it gets repetative and some games are free online or i played them 8 years ago (with worse graphics) so why pay for them. I mean BOXED IN is okay but its a puzzle game i played a million times with a million skins. There are games like MISSILES that are about how fast you can tap 2 parts of the screen and are plain dumb.

But then you have a few gems like ROPE'n'Fly and Ragdoll which are fun in short bursts, and the best part is that you don't feel obligated to buy them because the free version is enough LOL, well Rope'n'fly is enough free but ragdoll is a bit interesting.

Bottom line, only some games work on iPhone, but the apps are great (especially FML) View
