It's not actually 80 hours long to finish the game from start to end, but to upgrade your characters to the max then yes it can be that long. View

So what are the objectives in the game gonna be? Secure 10000 barrels of oil? Protect private contractors? Fight a pointless illegal war? And at the end, if you survive, your reward is "Congratulations, you get to go home!" It's stupid designing a game based on actual scenario's, especially when the world is opposed to such wars - this could very well bomb in sales in Europe and outside the US.

They might aswell release a game where Taliban or Muslim with turbans invade the US and you have to play as them, killing American soldiers. I can just see the excitement that would hit N4G! /sarcasm View

They would have eventually gone Modern anyway, everyone expected it and wanted it then Infinity Ward delivered this with COD4. Just because the other "WW2" shooter is now going modern doesn't mean its a rip off is it. Besides, who was ripping who off before COD4?...No one? And if the new Medal of Honour was WW2 based everyone would be moaning again.

I don't really think so, but it certainly will hurt them. It'll have a bigger hardware sales/software sales boost for Sony than it will for Microsoft but I can't have imagined many 360 owners purchasing PlayStation 3's for this game when it was PS3 exclusive, although it will be a nice thing for them to now check out the game/franchise on their platform.

I think PS3 fans were more annoyed and angered rather than 360 owners getting excited about the game, which goes to show exactly how the pendulum swings on this particular franchise. It's an interesting paradox, PS3 owners bought their console hoping for JRPG's and 360 owners believed they'd get little and couldn't care less hence of their platform choice. And look where we are today! Hardly anything on the PS3 but 360 owners getting more than they asked for, and arguably, more than they care for whereas PS3 fans are pulling their hair over Square Enix's hypocrisy over Star Ocean 4's anonymity on Sony's platform.

I think Sony made some hurtful decisions in their designing of the PS3 short-term, hence their install base, but might, might, be a blessing in disguise in the future. Only time will tell. They have alot to do. View

This game had nothing going for it other than curiousity and ironically how alot of media corners were criticising it - with some corners lavishing praise on it. It doesn't take a genius then to surmise that perhaps a great deal of these downloads were people trying to make up their own minds of what the game is like. It's had a mixed reaction, and I do not expect it to be a AAA-type seller when the NPD figures come out. View
