There's a big field of discussion about gaming's representation of, inclusion of and tolerance of homosexuality, but I don't think this is in any way related.
I'm frankly pretty shocked by a lot of people's comments in this thread that are just spouting some of the most ludicrous, misinformed, juvenile nonsense without a second thought for what is actually being conveyed.
Gaming, generally, is hugely aligned with the values typically associated with straight, heterosexual male culture, and that is certainly an issue that in some cases needs addressing.
Here, I'm guessing it's another case of a videogame developer making a bit of a clumsy error and not realising the potential for offence... but I think there are plenty more aspects of MW2 to be concerned about.
