the flame war over consoles started with nes and sega mega drive, then heated up with the snes and the next gen sega machine.
But it's roots lie in the mac/pc debate. (:
Either way, who cares who started it? Are we in second grade?
"But Kenny hit me first!"
What matters is who's going to end it. How can you end it?
By not adding fuel to the flame and promote good gaming everywhere.
By supporting a consumer's right to choice.
By writing responses that promote equally non-basised responses.
By not stating the obvious over and over (that people flame your system).
By not clicking on new items that aren't of interest to you.
Funny thing is there are many, many ways ways to combat this which you complain so much about. And so few ways to add to the actual problem.
Ultimately competition breeds better gaming for us all. It's in the consumer's best interest for all gaming companies to do extremely well. When the competition does well, it forces better prices and better games for all.
Think about it. Sometimes I wish I could start a new movement. A new kind of fanboy and fangirl. It's called the gamer. People who are fans of games. Period.
