@TrenchaunT Agreed, however StarCraft one was a self contained product. You had all three sides of a complete story and didn't need Brood War to complete that story. Brood Wars was simply EXPANDING the universe.
StarCraft 2 isn't a self-contained product. If you, like many people, want to complete the story (as Blizzard has become masters of gaming narrative) then you will NEED to buy all three games.
@The Ineffable Bob: The pricing hasn't been released yet, but a $60 wouldn't surprise me. The expansions will more than likely cost the same as the first installment, so assuming its a $50 game it will cost $150 in total. Thats still as a lot of money.
