Game of the Decade is a Myth
27 days 12 hours ago | by: Errol James
Can
a game stand the test of time long enough to define a decade? I doubt
it. Many innovative games have been released this decade, but they
usually become nothing more than a great sequel a few years later.
There isn't a fair way to compare a game that was made in 2009 with a
game made before 2005. It's hard enough trying to compare a game to
it's predecessor. Put Grand Theft Auto 3 nex...

The Motion in the Ocean
185 days ago | by: Errol James
Microsoft's inFamous strategy of going first proved to
be pretty effective at this years E3. Their vision of the future
involves no controller which kind of trumps the PlayStation's Motion
Controller.
Sony's Motion Controller
doesn't have a catchy name. For the sake of this article,
lets call it the vibrator. The vibrator is cool though because it has
the ability to change into va...

The Mainstream Revolution... Project Natal
185 days ago | by: Errol James
"The only experience you need is life experience."
Judging by the
rumored late 2010 release of Project Natal, it's not looking like much
life experience is left for the Xbox 360. Before you know it, GameStop
will no longer accept Xbox 360 games for trade in, and the 360 itself
will be disowned by Microsoft. Hopefully Project Natal goes with it.
The
Nintendo Wii brought this main...

Forget Mario. Where's Link?
185 days ago | by: Errol James
Information was leaked today about Nintendo's E3 show. Some of the
information was about a new Wii Fit which I could care less about, but
there was news of a new Mario game due out by the end of the year in Japan.
Big
Surprise there... It's probably Mario Golf or yet another Mario Party.
If for some reason it's the follow up to Super Mario Galaxy then I have
a question for Nintendo...

Charles Hamilton the Hip Hop Gamer
189 days 17 hours ago | by: Errol James
If
you don't know the clown wearing the pink headphones, I'm
not surprised. His name is Charles Hamilton aka Sonic the Hedgehog and
he's a rapper signed to Interscope records. Alter ego's could be a good
thing. They could help the people get a better understanding of an
artist. That's cool and all, but I have a question for Mr. Charles
Hamilton.
When was the last time...

Since When Were Glitches Considered inFamous?
211 days 13 hours ago | by: Errol James
Hate it or love it, one thing that can be observed about inFamous is
that it's full of glitches. Maybe if Sucker Punch kept the original
release date of June 2009, they could have done more to solve the
problem. If that's not the case then I have a question for the people who tested the game.
How high were you guys?
You
must have been pretty gone to not noti...

The Next Generation is Here... Introducing the WiiStation 720
228 days 19 hours ago | by: Errol James
The
new millennium arrives, and Sony introduces itself with the PlayStation
2. Nintendo's old punching bag, SEGA, arrived before the new millennium
(9/9/99 to be exact,) and suffered the consequences. SEGA had been hurt
after putting up a fight for most of the last millennium with Nintendo.
When it came to fighting Sony, Sega could barely take a swing. Meanwhile Sony was still...

Now Launching The Nintendo Gamecube
228 days 19 hours ago | by: Errol James
Seriously, what the hell is this?
Nintendo
must have asked themselves that question when they realized the
Gamecube was behind both the Xbox and the PlayStation 2 for the crown
of a generation.
The
Gamecube is an interesting system. I remember a bunch of my friends
looked away because they thought the Gamecube was for kids. You really
can't blame them for looking away. A m...

Exclusive:: The Next Generation is Here... Introducing the Playstation Wii
236 days 14 hours ago | by: Errol James
You
know, Sony and Nintendo have a lot in common. They both know the joy of
being on top, and the misery of being in the bottom of the console war.
Before
the PSone showed up, Nintendo was dominant. Games were far from being
seen as the art form they are going to become by the mainstream, so the
majority of people who played games were hardcore gamers. As a result
the ...

Need a Tissue?
251 days 22 hours ago | by: Errol James
America hurt Rockstar's feelings this past week by proving that the
overhead camera view used in previous flops such as the original Grand
Theft Auto, Grand Theft Auto 2, and the London 1969 version of the same
game is still not cool. Selling only 88,704 in the month of March, it's
looking like Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will join the list of
flops made by Rockstar.
... Maybe it...

The Party Pooper
266 days 16 hours ago | by: Errol James
Does anybody else feel like the new Nintendo DSi is being made into a bigger deal than it needs to be? I mean come on its only a new version of the same system that came out in 2004. I dont remember a big deal being made about the Game Boy Micro, or the PSP-3000...
I do want one though..

Out with the New. In with the Old
272 days 15 hours ago | by: Errol James
Resident Evil 5 is set in Africa so we see a shanty town, dark skinned
enemies, and a bunch of tribal things to give us a sense that we are on
the motherland. Did it feel any different from the European setting in
Resident Evil 4?
There really isn't much brought to the table in Resident Evil 5 that is
a new besides playing with another person. You could trade items and
have the whole ...

Recession Friendly Gaming
284 days 14 hours ago | by: Errol James
Let's face it. This Recession sucks and the price of games isn't
getting any cheaper. It's still $50-$60 for a new game on a system that
you already paid hundreds of dollars to own. To make matters worse, if
you don't like the game the best thing you can do is trade it in for
1/3 of what you paid for it. It's a scam man.
There is hope though..
This generation of gaming has brou...
