Because it is all just so confusing. the publicity the confusion has caused has got to be good for this titles figures on first release though. People only usually threaten to boycott, nobody who is really interested actually will. View

This is my point, people are paid a lot of money to relay this message. they are getting something wrong.

To who ever said all these 'Sony failed' articles are pointless; is that what you think this is really?

In so many ways Sony have won. I just think that with such fab hardware they should have done better. And don't fool yourself, what ever the software situation, are you really telling me Sony would not like to be selling more units? View

Actually I think you will find that most NDA's state that you may make no mention of anything to do with the event til after a certain date.

I once got roasted for confirming via Twitter that an event was even taking place, they can be very touchy. View

Yep things sure were tough back then.
Forty miles to school in the snow carrying a horse.

But if you think about it games are hard in other ways these days. AI has improved out of sight and games are much much longer than they used to be. View

But seriuosly mate your comment made it sound like there is no action 'painstaking long term surveillance'. The operation may involve surveillance but people are shot, maimed and killed every episode. There are stick ups and kidnappings. How much action do you want?

It is not like we just get frame after frame of cops sitting in their cars.

As I said any game would exaggerate the action element but it is there in the show itself. View

Yeah course it is.
Not that I am suggesting it is all about the killing anyway, but a show that has up to three dead an hour has enough action to be converted to a game, of course it does.

The show has action is the point I am trying to make (in response to someone who suggested that it just a long drawn out surveillance operation) of course the action that will be exaggerated in any game, clearly, but that does not mean they would have to lose the strong plot line or character portrayal. View

I certainly can't disagree with that.
Plot and character driven games are my fav.

They don't need to have book sized dialogue like JRPG's either. Just sensible scriptwriting and good mocap (I think that is under estimated in turns of immersion) View
