This absolutely absurd. I guess since he can't do anything to Take Two, and the fact that he was WRONG about the V-Tech shooter having "trained" on video games to commit the atrocities he did, he's got to go after MS. Yes Halo is will probably be "M" like the ones before it, and yes Microsoft is behind its creation and distribution, but responsibility ultimately lies with the retailers and customers. The ESRB was put into place for this very reason, to show parents and retailers how kid friendly or how violent a particular is. It sounds like the ESRB should be policed, and it is in a way broken, as the article states Sen. Clinton has said. So why hasn't anyone gone and tried to enforce at that level. Going after the creators of games like Halo, GTA, Rainbow Six, and a plethora of others, never works. Games like the works of Van Gogh, Ray Bradbury, KISS, and countless other artists, are in their own way works of digital media ART, which is protect by our First Amendment rights. Jack Thompson by now should know this, and that fact that he does is just further proof that he should be disbarred for not understanding some of the most basic of laws that have been instilled into the American public since grade school.
